The Best Amazon Purchasing Experience I’ve Ever Had

Great machine at a great price
Great machine, great price. Bit on the “heavy” side when compared to the Lenovo x1 series but no complaints otherwise.

Think again about purchasing this laptop if you are a touch typist.
Having enjoyed an XPS13 for several years, I purchased this new XPS 14. I have to say, I am sincerely disappointed. The entire keyboard has been changed. 1. All keys are flat and the top row of function keys --well, they are just teensy little lights and no keys. 2. An extra key has been added on the first row for AI uses -- what?? They inserted an extra key amongst all the regular keys! 3. There is a HUGE amount of space from edge to the space bar, much larger than the mouse pad would need (and that doesn't show at all; you just have to guess where it is.) so I have to tilt the computer quite a lot for my hands to comfortably reach the keys without dragging my forearms on the huge space. As a touch typist, this has destroyed the ability to "touch" without looking. I'm having to totally retrain my fingers to stretch further here and less here. I had to purchase tactile stickers to be able to find the function keys of Home, Delete, Escape --because they are not keys but tiny little lights that you cannot discern the difference in unless you are right on top of the keyboard. The computer itself seems to be just fine. But the usefulness of the keyboard has destroyed the performance and made it miserable to type on.
