This stuff is amazing. That mythbusters guy was right. If you use this stuff, rinse your tools after and dry them instantly, put them into a dry place or in a container with silica desiccant to prevent flash rusting.

Highly recommend this product. I used it to remove residual rust particles on the outside of my tire rim(not a rusted rim just rust sprayed from a bad pad) so I couldn't use the rust remover as intended (it instructs to Submerge in solution) but it still did the job with some patience and elbow grease!!

Used this to remove rust from a table salt grinder. It removes the rust but leaves a block oxidation layer that needs to be wire brushed away. Then you need to coat with cooking oil, wipe all excess and heat the metal to dry the grinding surfaces so the salt doesn't stick. Works great on tools but would not recommend for items used with foods.

Stuff really works. Low fuss rust removal. You just soak your piece for a few hours and the rust drops off. You can run it through a strainer after you finish and use it again. It does darken some items but you can remove discoloration with a wire brush or a buff. Make sure you purchase a large enough size so that you can fully submerge whatever pieces you’re soaking. If you buy the small size and fill a long container with it, you might not have enough liquid in there to cover a bench plane or a garden tool, for example

Great stuff at affordable price. Ive used this on rusted tools, parts etc.. and had very good results. Refurbished a couple hand planes from 1930s & 40s that were all rusted and they turned out great in the end. Light rust this stuff does in 6-24hr. Heavy rust & build up for best results you should Dremel off or steel wool the Heavy rust areas as best as possible and then put in Evaporust and typ that gets best results.

I’ve used Evapo Rust on a handful of small projects, and it does work with some limitations. It does a good job removing light surface rust and cleaning up parts that just have minor corrosion. If you’re dealing with light rust, it’s pretty much a soak and rinse solution and it saves a lot of scrubbing time. That said, it does not perform miracles. Heavy rust or deeply pitted metal didn’t come clean for me, even after extended soaking. One big plus is that it doesn’t have a strong chemical smell like many rust removers, which makes it much more pleasant to use in a garage. I also appreciate that it’s environmentally safe and non toxic compared to harsher alternatives. Overall, it’s a good product for light duty rust removal, but not the right choice if you’re trying to restore heavily rusted or pitted metal.

Worked better than I ever hoped. Used overnight on clamps that had been outside for 2 years, they came away cleaner than scrubbing and other chemicals could do. And the fluid goes back into the bottle for re-use!

This stuff is great. I had some tools that got rusty over the years and used this to clean them up. The chemical is easy to use, does a great job, and you get a great value since it’s reusable.

I soaked some rusted drum and guitar hardware overnight and the rust virtualy disappears. Might require a tooth brush and elbow grease to finish the job, but most parts came out perfect without scrubbing. I also recommend a product called "Dry Coat Rust preventative spray" to use hand in hand with this. My process is: Soak > Scrub if required > Put items in a plastic cup > Spray with dry coat > Rotatate cup to coat > Leave on paper towel to dry. Bonus points for being reusable although it does get pretty murky after a few uses.
