this is a LOT of dhal for the price! love swad brand and def cheaper than any store nearby

Since meat has gotten so expensive, I am trying to eat more vegetarian food, and Indian flavors make dal more tasty. These do tend to fall apart if cooked too long, other types of dal stay more intact.

It is a quality product

I received my order promptly and am very pleased with this product. I am exploring Indian cuisine and am unable to purchase this item at local stores in this area. I chose this brand because a family member had brought me a bag when they returned from a vacation out of state and I found it to be of good quality and great in curried dishes

No problem

I have purchased this item many times because it tastes good and is reasonably priced. Also, I just recently purchased split red lentils from another supplier and I was very surprised that they did not taste as good. My wife noticed as well. I don't even understand why that would be.

Turkish Ezo Gelin Soup 2 c lentils 2 carrots 2 onions 2 potatoes 2 boullion cubes olive oil dried mint chili powder Fry onions in a bit of olive oil. Add chopped carrots and potatoes. Cook a few minutes then add the chili powder and lentils. Add enough boiling water to fill the pot. Add the boullion cubes. Cook until thick. Blend until smooth. Add a generous 3 T of dried mint. Enjoy with a side of plain white yogurt.
