In this case to connect the wires I had to reach back full arm extended to properly wire it. And I could not use both arms like that at the same time. I found it impossible to get a secure connection with my usual go to's: Wire Nut. As an American, my tool box is full of wire nuts. But I heard about how in Europe they only use these "Wago's" so I tried them. And: piece of cake. It was so easy to solidly connect. These are well made items. I doubt I will ever use wire nuts again. The issue is always the chemical reaction that can cause a fire when aluminum, copper and moisture is involved. Not a fan of mixing the two types. **Q: box above shows ul listed, etc, but then says "do not work.inder load!". at some point the power(load) has to be turned on, so what does that mean?** A: I used these lever nuts to power a 6,000 watt dr heater using a 10 gauge solid wire. The plastic gets a little warm. The lever sometimes lifts a little. See that it’s always down. I don’t recommend using these lever nuts where you can’t see them, like behind walls. ‘Do not put under load’ has #1 footnote. I don’t have the box anymore. I can’t tell you what that footnote is. **Q: Can i use these on 12-2 wire?** A: Yes it will work with 12-2 wire I really prefer to use these when ever I can. **Q: Is there a trick to opening the tabs? Mine will not open at all.** A: No trick to open. Mine lifted up easily enough and work great. Hold one side in your hand and lift the end of the other side tab where the wire goes into the connector. Make sure that you are lifting only the yellow tab and not catching on the clear edge of the connector under the tab. If necessary - use a flat edge to slip under the tab vice your fingernail for more leverage.
