Review: Nice tool, but im still on the fence about its torque ratings - Update: one of the best Milwaukee tools I own. I learned that I didn't have the setting correct for full torque and a cheapo battery during my intal review. I since have used this thing every weekend working on cars. Tires no problem, chassis and suspension. Exhaust. It's small size is just excellent Super excited to get this. Love my Milwaukee m12 3/8 ratchet and I felt this would be great on the trails with my jeep to remove a tire quickly. I bet you can guess my disappointment when I tossed my Flip socket on it, stuck it on a lugnut on my jeep and... Nothing.. Whole lotta clicking but it could not break the nut free. Now, I will say that I do torque my lug nuts down beyond 80 lbs (basically till my impact no longer turns the bolts after 3 patterns) so they might be tighter than needed but this advertises 250 lbs of breaking torque. I doubt I have 250 lbs of tourque on my lug nuts. So, still in the Milwaukee's camp, I had to do a exhaust downpipe replacement on a 06 kia. 4 bolts. 2 on the Cat flange and 2 off the manifold. Typicaly these are harder bolts to remove. Tried with the Milwaukee, Nope. Nada. Hit em with my Harbor freight impact and it struggled but got em off. I did use the Milwaukee to reinstall the bolts and they were plenty tight enough for what I needed. SO, busting through rusty stuff, meh perhaps not. I am using a 5ah Battery at full charge. for the tool itself, it is very well made, well balanced, and compact enough to fit in tight places. Would be good for the heavier bolts n nuts that the 3/8 itsnt strong enough for. Im gonna keep it and try some different batteries and see if that helps.
Review: this is not a heavy duty tool but it is a good tool - I own the M18 2767, the top of the line high torque tool, this M12 tool is a much weaker version, which is also much lighter. If you are not going to make the substantial investment in the M18 battery world, this is a handy little tool. I use if for putting wheels on cars, it does not over tighten the lug nuts allowing me to torque them to spec, the M18 will over torque lug nuts in a heartbeat. We are using it in a shop environment and it has proven to be quite useful due to compact size and light weight. With a 4AH battery it does a lot of work between charges. If you are already invested in the M12 line buy it for light duty work. If you are looking for bolt breaking torque, step up to the 2767. I plan on buying the 3/8" version at some point too.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the advertised 250 ft-lbs of torque only possible with the 6.0 A-h battery? Will it do 250 ft-lbs with the standard 2.0 A-h battery?**
A: An Ah rating is amount of energy stored. Not the amount of power the battery can deliver. To simplify this the M12 CP1.5 battery can deliver as much energy to the tool as the M12 CP3 battery. The difference is for how long it can deliver that amount of energy. Things change slightly when you take the 3 cell arrangement of the CP3 and smaller vs the XP4 and higher. The CP and XP packs differ in the CP ones have 3 cells vs the 6 of the XP packs. With the 3 additional cells you split the load into two 3 cell packs that are working with each other to provide the same voltage. So if you really want to try and get that marginal amount of extra power out of your tool buy the XP packs. If not then get the CP packs.

**Q: What are the torque specs for mode 1 and 2?**
A: There are no torque specs that i know of but it uses impact per minute IPM . Mode one does 1100 and mode 2 does 2100 IPM. The more IPM the more torque. Hope that helps

**Q: do you think this driver able to open axle and suspension bolts from 21 to 32 mm?**
A: Broke loose 125 pound 21mm shock bolt easily

**Q: M18 battery fit this?**
A: No this is the M-12 battery
