Nice Addition to The Polar Express Set
The hobo/ghost is a feature of The Polar Express movie. The disappearing hobo car isn't included with the Lionel set I bought (684328) so I added it separately. The set feels more complete with the hobo sitting by his fire. I bought the one with snow and footsteps on top (684602) that matches the set I ordered. A different set has black tops and there's a black-topped hobo car to match. Choose carefully.

Such a great addition to our train BUT…
We learned a valuable lesson on train sizes. We purchased the ready to play polar express train for our overly obsessed grandson and he “needed” to add the hobo car. I thought we bought the “O” Gaige but the ready to play size is different and did not fit the O gauge track, sad day for a little guy. This car is beautifully made but sadly was compatible with the set we purchased. We returned this car and are on a search for one that will work. Easy transaction and simple return.

Bought this for our xmas village add on. The grandkids just love it as they compare it to the movie and it's cool the people disappear on the top; they get a real kick of it. The train is a good quality gauge however i wouldn't recommend for small children under 6.
