I have read/seen people do it both ways** A: I have been using it wet on my car with no problem. Wet sanding is the main intended use of this product even though I think you can use it dry but may get deeper scratched and reduce the paper life. **Q: How many uses can i get out of one pad?** A: Hi Calvin! One sheet of this paper used wet is able to final sand two to three entire guitar bodies while dry sanding paper of the same grit took 12-15 sheets for one guitar. Excellent product.
