Shipped in Anti static box
The CPU is from a bulk purchase of AMD CPUs. It was delivered in a box lined with anti static foam padding, not the standard clamshell provided with retail purchases. This is not particularly unusual. But for those used to the retail box, this might come as a surprise. I’ll leave a full review once I get a replacement motherboard, as Amazon shipped me an open box motherboard, which due to the nature of how delicate these items are to mishandling I would never accept a return or open box computer part. These processors are mostly used for workstations and entry level servers. Specific CPU extensions such as AVX512 can become important to some user groups (anyone doing a lot of maths).
