Where is the quick change wheel release? I don't see any way of changing the wheel without a tool.

I'm confused too. The 402W is supposed to have the quick-change wheel; the 402 doesn't, and is supposed to come with a wrench. The description here is fouled up. But I have a 402W, and the instruction manual doesn't mention it, or how to change things without a wrench. Hand tighten? seems like a leap of faith.

does the grinder fit in the case with the handle still attached?

NO. Handle must be unscrewed, but off, the handle fits in the case also. Case is kept small and essential this way. Thumbs up on the case also.

What kind of discs do i need to use with this? The kind witht the thread in them or jusg the disc you put on and tighten between 2 metal peices?

It uses the non-threaded discs, 4-1/2 inch diameter, with a 7/8 inch (arbor) center hole. You "clamp" the disc between two round pieces of metal (flanges). The tool (supplied) that you use to tighten the outer piece is unusual, it is an allen wrench that you put into a hex hole - one of 4 holes. In the past, these types of grinders used a plate with two prongs to engage the outer piece. good luck

Good power

My Milwaukee died after 20+ years. Still have a need for a corded grinder so I was looking for a good value and quality unit. Since all my battery tools are Dewalt and no issues to date, I figured a Dewalt grinder would be good. So far it works great, very strong. My only issue is the paddle switch is on the small side (compared to my Millwaukee) and the safety leaver takes some getting use to. If it gets too annoying I will just remove it.

Best choice if you need reliable power

Amazing tool at a great price. This DEWALT angle grinder has plenty of power, and the 11 amp motor is a noticeable step up from the battery versions I have used.
