used these to add variable resistance to control circuits for timing and fuel on a Hilux Surf KZN130 (the famous resistor mod). work perfectly, but the 1-10 markings on the dial do not exactly correlate to the range of rotational movement, so 1-10 does not equate to 0 - 1K Ohm resistance when adjusting. You can easily work it out and re-mark the dial, but you shouldn't really have to - shame as the quality itself and action is great, with a nice linear progression on resistance values.

Glad they come as a pack of 2. First one i used on my lighting didn't work at all, second one worked perfectly so I am assuming quality control is not their strong point. The one that works however works very well hence the 3 star rating.

I wish I had noticed this before buying, but is not a deal breaker that makes me want to return them. I use these in motor speed controller panel builds. The knob marking are for a full rotation, however, the pots only turn about 3/4 turn (which is normal). Appears the vendor that packaged these does not care or is oblivious to how they work.
