Not super easy to attach to the toilet, but that maybe because I have an elongated seat. My 2 year old has no problem climbing all over it and though the seat seems really small we haven't had any accidental bathroom messes yet.Update... Now that my toddler has gotten more confident he is pushing his 'tinker' right against the shield, which is spreading urine around the bathroom. For a urine guard this has a similar effective as a tumb over a garden hose.
