**Q: Can you take the plates out to wash**
A: No the plates don’t come out to wash, but I have never needed to do this. 3 eggs is the perfect amount to split between the two compartments. Then I just wipe it out with damp cloth after and it’s as good as new again. Just make sure you use plastic knives or things to get the omelettes out or it could scratch the non stick surface. This is a problem my daughter had with hers. Iv used mine 3 x a week since Christmas and I love it.

**Q: Does it come with instructions on using & making an omelette**
A: Yes, it comes with detailed instructions on how to make an omelette. It is very very easy to use

**Q: Didn’t get a recipe book**
A: If you read the listing: Environmentally conscious, the instruction manual and tasty recipes can be found by simply going to our Salter Cookshop website.

**Q: Can one side be turned off if you only want to make one omelette?**
A: No, one side can’t be turned off, both plates heat up but you don’t have to make two omelettes.

This is a very efficient egg boiler. Following the user instructions, which are straight forward, gets you perfectly boiled eggs every time. This is now one of our most important kitchen gadgets. Like you, we have gadgets bought and hardly, if ever used. Not this one. It sits in pride of place on the countertop and is used several times a week. Simple, perfect boiled eggs, whatever your preference of super soft, to rock hard, every time. We wouldn't be without one now. The big bonus, it is inexpensive to purchase and saves energy as well.

I don't usually give 5 stars, because nothing is perfect. So this is top marks from me.!! The egg boiler is very easy to use and clean. The price is quite good as well, but I think it could be a tad less, then it would have got 5 stars. Would I buy it again ?? Yes I think so, but as I have only just got it I can't be sure as to how reliable it actually is.
