Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier [VHS]

great movie

We need more great movies like this one. I find myself rewatching older movies because all the newer ones are unenjoyable and push an agenda that I disagree with. Davy Crockett is an oldie and goodie. A classic. I may watch it again.

Such a fantastic movie! I grew up watching this movie as a child and caught myself whistling the catchy tune that plays throughout the movie. I decided to see how I liked it now that it has been 15 years since I last saw it and my wife had never seen it, we got up early on a saturday morning to watch it and we both loooved it! I can't get my wife to stop singing 'King of the Wild Frontier'! I definitely recommend this to anyone, good history too. It may be a little violent for young young kids, but no blood or anything.

Enjoyed the movie

Not quite what I remembered as a kid. It was entertaining though. Quite a bit of fighting, but I guess that is what the wild west was. Brough back my childhood. I would say worth a watch. Should I have saved my money and just rented it... probably. None the less. I enjoyed it.

I remember watching this a bunch of times growing up. One of my favorite Disney films and speaking of which, Disney, you made an EXCELLENT choice letting this go to amazon video. You're going to make a LOT of money off this thing in years to come even though it was filmed so long ago. It's a historic tale but of course with that Hollywood/Disney touch to keep you interested through and through and yes, that is one fine and catchy song I will always remember. I highly recommend it and given Disney's tradition of yanking movies off the shelf you'd do well to purchase it still while you can. Enjoy!

Kids liked watching a movies about Davey. They tight it was funny and they learned more about some of the history behind The Alamo.

I have always liked this movie. I watched it as a kid many times. I have looked for one for many years and just happened to come across this video. The other reason I like it so well is that my uncle, Jeff Thompson played the part of Charlie Two Shirts. It is great to watch him in this movie and remember all the good times in my youth. I would recommend this to anybody that has kids, it is a great family movie.
