Finally able to understand Signals and Systems..., Thanks to the book.
The book is really awesome, I guess it goes without saying. It has explained all the concepts in a very simple language with examples. Also the exercise questions are very good, especial the advanced level questions, they are very good to clear concepts. And of course, Amazon delivery was very good, book was in very good condition.

Don't read from this book.
Just simply avoid this book if you're beginner or pro in this subject. Read from A Anand kumar's book or B. P LATHI'S book or Nagoor Kani's book or S salivahanan's book. They simplified each topic so well that you just understand those topic by the 1st reading.

Great buy
This book is a classic, its easy to read and yet quite technical. I bought the international edition and it is a great buy considering that it is almost exactly the same as the standard one (some end of chapter problems are different) but at a fraction of the price. If you couple this book with the lecture videos of Oppenheim himself, then you are going to learn a lot about signals and systems, highly recommended!

Thorough
Not a fan of Oppenheim's writing style, but the book contains everything you need to understand signals and systems. Read with care as there is little notice (in the form of bold letters, etc.) that Oppenheim is about to discuss something noteworthy and not just something mildly related. A lot of info contained in the worked examples. If you skip them you'll miss a lot of the book's content. Beware Oppenheim sources his examples from a variety of sciences. Don't get intimidated - you don't actually need to understand what's going on besides the math

Excellent Textbook - Even better accompanying free course
This is probably the most excellent book on signals and systems I've come across. Also, the fact that there is an accompanying MIT open courseware course by Oppenheim that closely follows the textbook (readings are even assigned) makes this pretty much a no-brainer purchase. I'm knocking off one star for the poor writing of textbook examples. Most textbooks provide examples by defining the question or problem to be solved in its entirety, then allowing you to attempt it yourself before glancing at the solution. Oppenheim, however, elaborates the problem as he explains its solution, which doesn't allow you to get any practice from the examples themselves.
