The 222 Series Lever-Nuts® is WAGO's original lever-operated splicing connector for all connections requiring standard or solid wires. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: are they approved by NEC?**
A: The NEC requires a listed connector.  These are UL listed.  So the answer is YES.

**Q: Are these UL listed?  What is the maximum amps at 120 volt?**
A: these are ul listed. Wire size is 22 to 12 gauge. 12 g wire is rated at 20 amps at 120 volts. 14 g wire rated at 15 amps.

**Q: What is the size of the individual piece?  I think the diminsions give are for all of the pieces together?**
A: The pieces are separate but come made for what ever you need to connect up (example) 2 white wires one will have 2 snap connects 3 ground wires one will have 3 snap connect and so on. I thank there great for connecting any electrical things together just remember ever how many things you are connecting these will all connect in a junction box and it is so much easer than wire nuts because you put all grounds in one all common in all hot in one.    hope this will help

**Q: are they cec approved ? csa**
A: They are certified to UL 486C which is a "Tri-national standard" also under CSA C22.2 No. 188.  So as far as I can tell they are approved for use in Canada under the CEC by having the UL 486C listing.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for frequent changes

We bought a house some months back and it needed extensive electrical work. I had completely rewired another house before, so I had a lot of experience with this. I used traditional connectors for most jobs. But I found once I started get to more than two wires together, it was extremely difficult to get all the wires together at once. They frequently came loose. Dead circuits became common. I had two situations where this was being used: One where the circuit was in transition from old wiring to new, and another where it was entirely new wiring. For the first situation, these were absolutely perfect. I can add and remove wires individually without disturbing the others. They fit extremely snug and I haven't had one yet come loose. It's amazingly sturdy. You'd think those little levers would snap right off. Nope. They're in there amazingly tight! My only gripe is that these are fairly sizable, so they take up a significant amount of room in the box. Typically I used them until the wiring it fairly stable, and then swapping it out with a permanent nut becomes very easy. Those nuts take up about half as much room, and still stay snug when moving the wires into place. Well worth getting a box.
