Allwood Beaded Knotty Pine Wainscot Kit, 18 Linear Feet of Wall Length

Packing of the product was exceptional. Outside was a custom wood crate and the inside had cardboard dividers between the wall slats and the baseboards/chair rails. Easy install, but I used a brad gun and compressor rather than construction adhesive. It’s knotty pine so it has a rustic appearance. But I plan to paint it white so it won’t matter. The only negative comment I have is that some of the baseboard pieces were slightly wider than others, so they didn’t butt up to the next piece perfectly . But it’s minimal so not noticeable unless you’re up close. Other products of the same size cost twice as much so this is a good value.

Was going to leave a lower review due to their being missing pannells, top and bottom boards as well but the company hastily and kindly fixed the situation. Once you get your order count everything immediately to make sure the orders right. Other than that the product is great even comes sanded already major time saver their. i put a mahogany stain on it then sealed it. Once i finish installing ill post a photo to this comment.

For the price, the product is a fair deal - BUT be aware that you will have broken pieces and ones that are not cut to the right size to match others. Some pieces will be warped, stained, or have saw burrs. But it’s still a great way to improve a room for DIY folks like myself. The photo is stained with Minwax Summer Oak with a clear poly finish.

Quality is not very good. And the tongue and groove almost never fit together. Even knot wholes in one of the trim boards. Plus it took almost 3 weeks for delivery. That I had to sign for ? only reason I didn't give only 1 star? it was all packaged very will. However I will make note to never buy from this seller again.

After waiting an extended period of time, and Seller stating they could not customize the quantity as they had too many orders to get out, I received my wainscoting. I had it professionally installed. Each tongue and groove was perfectly flush together, and it looked lovely... UNTIL, just five days later the wainscoting began separating and splitting! THE WOOD HAD MOT BEEN SEASONED, PROPERLY DRIED OUT. So, it did so on my walls after installation, so that it pulled apart and split. I am so let down. See the photo. Observe the primer had been painted on it when it was first put up and it looked fine, and that after it seasoned on my dining room walls it then pulled apart and split as can be seen by the exposed pone wood tongue along the side of the crack. Proving that upon installation it had been flush, each tongue and groove perfectly fitted together. I am EXTREMELY DISCOURAGED AND DISSATISFIED. Shame on the Seller/Manufacturer

I am not a skilled carpenter by any means, I'm a retired nurse. This took me an evening of staining, letting all the planks and molding acclimate for three days and I put this up by myself in under four hours. I am a very happy camper right now. So much prettier than I ever imagined. Because I bought the small kit which covers 16 linear feet and this wall is just 8 feet I was able to pick and choose the planks with the most character.

We remodeled our kitchen last month and used this kit for the 3 walls that didn't have cabinets. I didn't run into any that were no usable and only had 1 piece w/ a knot hole in the top chair rail but looks good. I would buy again.
