Feature Packed for the Price
The earbuds come in their own product box and contain the earbuds, a USB-C charging cable (no plug top) and product documentation. The packaging is sturdy and protects the earbuds from damage during transit.It is very easy to get started with the earbuds for the first time. Simply take them out of their case, enable Bluetooth on your phone (or other Bluetooth device) and choose Fire-Boltt Aero from the list of available devices. Next time onwards, your earbuds will automatically connect to your phone whenever they are out of their case and your phone is within range.Best of all, the Fire-Boltt Aero has a companion app called “Original Sound” which can be downloaded from the AppStore or Play Store. The app allows you to adjust various settings, including the EQ and touch controls, as well as receive firmware updates. Note that you have to take the earbuds out of their charging case to connect them to the app.The battery life of these earbuds is exceptional. With an overnight charge, they can last for 7-10 days with 3-4 hours of listening every day.These are my first touch-enabled earbuds, and I accidentally keep activating the controls while trying to adjust them in my ears. My ears are small, and the earbuds also tend to pop out, especially when I’m eating. Even though I have disabled all the touch controls, the earbuds sometimes switch off when I lie on my side while listening to music.As far as audio quality is concerned, I am a little disappointed. I like my highs, mids and lows to be equally audible. However, with the EQ at the default factory setting, or with all the frequencies in the equaliser set to 0 db, the audio sounds somewhat muddy, with the bass overpowering everything else.That said, it is important to keep in mind the price at which these earbuds are retailing. It is unrealistic to expect professional audio quality at this price range. In fact, the features and audio quality delivered by these earbuds provide excellent value for money.I am inclined to believe that the bass-centric sound is a deliberate design choice by the manufacturer. Therefore, these earbuds may be particularly suitable for people who prefer their audio to be bass heavy. However, if you’re looking for a crisp, balanced sound, these earbuds are probably not for you.
