Is the insole removable?

No it’s not removable, but it’s not so glued in like others can be, so you can gently remove it and put insole back in. I did so to accommodate an orthotic.

are these true to size?

No if you want it so Bad just buy a size 0.5 down. This is the first time I bought Reebok and I am so Disappointed with the size. This leave me a bit skeptical about the quality of this shoes. Usually Reebok meet my need and expectation but.... not this time.

Are the ones that are smooth made out of real leather?

Yes they are real leather. Very comfortable!
