Warrior RAW Protein Bars 12 x 75g – 20g High Protein Bar, Low Sugar High Fibre Oat Protein Flapjack – Protein Snacks, Meal Replacement Bars (Chocolate Orange)

I am an older guy who still works out with a regime of cardio 3 times a week (stepper/exercise bike) weights (up to 50kg) a couple of sessions of aquarobics for cardio and low impact and I walk around 50k steps a week. Nothing serious, but enough for a 70 year old. So why do I need these bars? Actually I don't, but I find that during workouts I have benefited from enjoying a whey protein shake to help keep muscle tone and I have now started to supplement this with the occasional protein based energy bar. To be honest, I don't think that anything replaces a balanced meal, but sometimes after a workout, enjoying one of these bars is better than eating a chocolate bar or similar, particularly when time is of the essence. I am not sure whether they boost my energy level at all, primarily as I have trained for years and as I have said twice, I am getting on a bit. There is more sugar and carbs than I like, but if it is just protein you require, you might be better off eating a chicken breast! Purchasing from Amazon on Subscribe and Save represents even better value than the already competitive price for a single purchase so good value for money. The size is about right for me and combined with some fruit is sufficient for a light lunch. Overall a decent poduct and these taste ok. A good degree of fibre, vitamins and trace minerals. Worth considering as a "naughty snack" after a workout, or a part of a protein focussed diet.

Really enjoy these bars. The chocolate orange flavour is great and doesn’t taste artificial, which is a big plus. They’re very filling and packed with protein, so they work well as a quick snack or even a light meal replacement. Only slight downside is they can be a little on the dry side, so having a drink with them definitely helps. Overall a solid option if you’re looking for something convenient, high in protein, and actually enjoyable to eat.

Taste good, and a good alternative to other snacks with 20g of protein thrown in. They are dense but soft and i like them enough I'd eat them irrespective of the protein gain. If you are coming from Grenade bars they are nothing like these. The orange and caramel flavours are OK.

I would honestly say that you should avoid these. They taste terrible and gave me an upset stomach almost immediately after eating one. I thought this could just be poor timing, so tried a couple more times. Same outcome every time. Pretty sure I lost more protein than i gained. :-(

Great tasting bars , regular order

Good size bar with a decent flavour. Bar taste's quite dry to eat one tip is to put it into the micro for about 15 seconds comes out more moist

These are just about edible, and they have just over 20g of protein per bar, but you certainly need a drink with them! Very dry, rather like compressed sawdust, and the flavour is far from strong. The carbohydrate level is higher than I would prefer, as is the sugar, but it is not too bad. I love flapjacks, but do not normally eat them due to the nutritional issues. I was hoping that these might be a way around that, but it seems not. I will probably eat the rest armed with a drink rather than waste the money, but I seriously doubt that I will purchase them again. There seems to be a dearth of decent protein bars these days, with all the manufacturers seeming to go down the same road of moving away from the old style bars and into these new flavours and styles which appear to me to be universally poor alternatives to what went before. There are so many things labelled 'protein' these days, from crisps to mars bars, and you have to be really careful as a lot of them are nutritionally very poor. Maybe some people will like these flapjacks, but you would probably have to pay me handsomely before I would buy any more and certainly before I would eat them...
