Excelvan Portable DAB / DAB+ Digital Radios Personal Pocket FM Radio with Bluetooth and MP3 Player

The size of this little device belies it’s power and versatility. I wanted a small radio to use when I’m working and was a bit sceptical at first. However, this digital radio receives all my favourite channels without any distortion whatsoever. The included headphones are good enough for radio stations and because it’s digital, you don’t get any of the usual hiss and hum from regular AM/FM. Operating it is easy and it scans all available stations and labels them so you know what you’re listening to. Easy to take with you as well. Great value for money.

When it first came I was very surprised about the size. It’s very small but don’t let that fool you. It pops some punch. It picks my favourite radio station LBC and many more. I am also very surprised about the battery time. I managed to get around 6 hours continuous use before needing a charge.

Reception is extremely bad.

Ich schicke wirklich sehr selten Sachen an Amazon zurück, aber bei diesem Radio musste ich zum Äußersten greifen. Die Empfangsleistung ist sehr, sehr bescheiden. Ich wohne in einer Landeshauptstadt. Der DAB-Empfang mit dem Radio war dort annehmbar. Aber schon 14 Kilometer außerhalb der Stadt brach der Empfang weg. Sowohl für DAB als auch für FM. Kein einziges DAB-Bouquet fiel ein. Und das unter freiem Himmel. Innerhalb von Gebäuden ist der Empfang grundsätzlich schlecht. Was ich überhaupt nicht verstanden habe, war der Sinn der Bluetooth-Funktion. Eine Koppelung mit dem Autoradio war beispielsweise nicht möglich. Das DAB-Radio scheint ausschließlich als Bluetooth-Empfänger ausgelegt zu sein. Ich konnte also Musik, die ich mit meinem Mobiltelefon abspiele, an das Radio übertragen und dort hören. Telefonate hätte ich wohl annehmen können, da aber der Kopfhörer vom DAB-Radio kein Mikrophon besitzt, hätte ich wohl nur hören können, was der Anrufer sagt. So eine sinnfreie Funktion habe ich noch nie erlebt. Wegen dieser zwei erheblichen Mängel schicke ich das DAB-Radio zurück. Wer im Schatten eines Sendeturms DAB hören möchte, mag das alles kein Problem sein. Wer das Radio wirklich mobil nutzen möchte, sollte besser die Finger davon lassen.

La radio et le lecteur mp3 dans l'ensemble fonctionnent bien. Mais au niveau de l'utilisation ce n'est pas ça, ça reste assez limité et basique et pas toujours intuitif.

Funzionale e di buona qualità l'audio, piccolo neo le impostazioni scarne, manca la possibilità di modificare l'audio con un equalizzatore, per il resto va bene
