This s a good quality thermometer and does seem to measure temps well. Iโm satisfied.

free gift with a purchase. I really like the layout, where the temperature numbers are large and separate from the wellness indicators, with separate indicator bands for different meat types. I have not used it yet, as I have been using the electronic one for which this was a free gift....but side-by-side comparison with my classic one generated this review.

This is the worst thermometer I have ever used. You have to slide it in long wise or else it won't read it properly. It's slow to read and is inaccurate. I have tried to use it several times for chicken and pork. Each time it told me they were undercooked/raw but I didn't believe it since it was hard. I was right it was way overcooked. Unfortunately I can't return because it's past the window. I prefer the digital ones because they are more accurate, quicker to read, and you don't have to slide the thermometer in all the way.

I bought this ThermoPro APT200 analog meat thermometer for my niece whoโs in culinary school, and itโs been a great tool for her. The analog design is simple, reliable, and often more consistent than digital thermometers, especially for getting quick, accurate readings without worrying about batteries. Itโs a tried-and-true method that every aspiring chef should have in their toolkit.
