Makes quick work of small to medium branches and limbs
This saw has served me well from seasonal landscaping to disaster clean-up and trail maintenance. It's sharp and cuts fast. The blade and handle are good quality and stay locked in place while working. My only gripe is the blade could be stiffer as it bends and flexes - HOWEVER for the price and size profile, it's great and I would buy it again

Shockingly better cutting than another brand!
I purchased this and a Bahco folding saw and tested them on a piece of firewood over a couple of days. The wood is a piece of dried out ash 2 3/4" wide at its widest. The Bahco worked OK. I sawed and sawed like crazy and at first it went through well but as the saw had more surface area to rub against it was a fight to get it moving. My guess is the matte finish creates friction which just makes it harder and harder as you get deeper in. I only made one cut but half of the finish was pretty much worn or scraped up. I've posted a photo of both blades. I had to stop several times because I was getting tired since it was a fight to get the thing moving. It folds fairly compactly since the blade is straighter and weighs the least at 7oz. The release is a small button on one side of the handle. The Corona worked much much better. It was harder to get it started and I was sliding side to side but it's because it only cuts on the pull so that was my fault. However, once it got going it cruised through the same piece of wood in less than half the time. It has a polished blade and it did start resisting the further I went in but it wasn't nearly as bad as the Bahco and I didn't have to once stop to shake out my arm. I will say though that because of its curved blade it folds into a bigger package overall and it comes to 9.6oz. I think having to carry an additional 2.6oz would more than make up with the energy you would save cutting with the Corona. The release for this is on the back so you can easily press it with either hand. It's also BIG so you won't have any problems finding it with gloves on. I much preferred this release button. What's interesting is the Corona is listed as a 7" blade and the Bahco just says 9". I was confused but their blade sizes are identically 7". Also, when folded they are the exact same length at 9". I think these sizes are important since they aren't listed exactly for either product. I sort of thought the Bahco was going to have a longer blade but nope. Supposedly only the Silky cuts better but just a little bit better and at almost double the cost and additional weight. I consider this the best option overall for backpacking. Update: I got a scale. The Bahco came to 6.6oz and the Corona came to 6.65oz so almost the same. The Corona sounds even better right?

Great saw.
I love this saw. I keep it in my hunting backpack and use it to cut branches and limbs to clear my shooting lane. Very sharp and folds to a compact size.

Punching above its weight class
I have to admit, I'm pleasantly surprised. This thing is an absolute beast for its size. It cuts quick, it cuts clean and it fits in your pocket. I really didn't expect much for the price but it gets the job done quite nicely. I will say, if it was just a tad longer, it would be nearly perfect. As it stands, it's actually a really impressive little saw.

I've bought 4 or more of these now
I like to find and cut walking sticks for a hobby and I've cut thousands of sticks at this point. I used to love Fiskars, but they don't cut as good anymore due to a change of their tooth design or metal, and so I've tried a few other brands, and Corona is my favorite. The price is great, and I've never had a saw that cuts better. I've never had a Silky as I don't want to spend that kind of money, but I can't imagine a saw that could out perform this one by more than a few percent. This cuts fast and smoothly. I have some big and medium Corona saws, but I especially love the short ones like this, because they can fit in my back pocket and are no burden at all. They also cut almost as fast as a big one. The blades are designed to cut fast and stay sharp unless you hit dirt or rocks (true of any saw). I will probably buy many more of these as I lose or dull them through misuse. They hold up as good as any saw I've ever owned, and for such a great price. Any Corona saw will make you happy as they all share the same tooth pattern.

Just buy it. Period.
So, I was trimming back my big ole tree in my front yard...so that the local foot traffic wouldn't have to duck. I used a nice Fiskars 16' extension saw for that part. Well, after everything was down on my sidewalk, treelawn, and front yard, I had to trim it a bit to get it down to moving size. It couldn't stay there. It had to be moved. And that's where this little guy comes in. Man, I could not be more impressed. This little baby cut through everything like butter. After standing and looking up, and cutting and cutting, my neck, and back, and shoulders, and arms were pretty much done. I started the first "on ground" cut with the Corona, and what to my surprise, I was just blown away. My less than optimistic prospects for the coming few hours were immediately transformed. I was so delighted with how quickly and easily this saw flew through everything on my "to get done" list, that a big brilliant smile came to my face and just simply would not leave. I carried all of the trimmed limbs in one hand and this saw in the other. I remembered how some reviews had mentioned that the saw didn't close all of the way, and might be a safety hazard. As I looked down, I thought about that, and imagined these people either, didn't get the saw that I currently held in my hands, or they just needed something to complain about...because there is not one negative about this purchase for me. Later in the day, after I put all of my tools away, and my ladder, and cleared and cleaned my front yard so that my wife and our neighbors would be tickled pink, I tucked into my favorite chair for some NBA finals. After watching a few moments of Lebron magic, I realized that I still had this saw in my outer pocket of my pants. That is how small and lightweight this thing is. I waited for a commercial break, and took it out to my garage to put it back in its rightful place. With a tool this good, you do not want to be hunting for it. You want it right where you know where it is. Everytime.

Excellent saw, much faster than trying to use a hatchet or axe while camping
We used this while camping and it cut through logs up to about 5-6 inches in diameter in about a minute, without requiring too much work. My teenage boys were able to use it as well. And then... one of them lost the saw and we had to depend on a hatchet for the rest of the week, and that sucked. It took probably 5X longer to hack through a log than it did with the saw. So when we got home, we immediately ordered another Corona 7-inch saw as a replacement for the one that got lost. Note that I don't like the 10-inch bladed versions from Corona as much. It seems to snag on things more, and it's just a bit too large. The 7-inch model strikes a good balance between size, weight, and compactness.

You won't be disappointed!
Nice and sharp! Great price! I'm married to a skeptical horticulturist and it passed his testing. He has one of a more expensive brand and he says mine seems just as good. ๐ช
