has any1 grind dosa and idli

Yes, we have used this machine and its predecessor model for grinding Dosa / Idli batter. Our use has been to grind the batter once a week for the past seven years. The old model still works but the tall jar does not rotate properly, hence we purchased the new model. This is a really good mixer. While grinding dosa / idli batter you have to grind in small quantities. The mixer will get hot after 6mins or so, then you let it cool for a few mins before proceeding. In about 20 mins you are done.

Does this work in US? Are you referring to Overseas as outside US?

Does not work in the USA. Only for use in overseas countries Europe, Asia etc 220/240V 50hz countries.

Brought from india, unable to use as it does not working with stepup converter. If any one using stepup converter, pls suggest make and model?

I do not know in which country you are using this Mixie. If it is the USA, then you need to buy a voltage converter / transformer such as this one KRIËGER 600 Watt Voltage Transformer 120V to from 230V. Other purchasers in the USA have used the mixie with a converter successfully. You must check that the converter will output both the required voltage (220V-240V) as well as the necessary amperage to produced the stated wattage.
