Amazing product and customer service!
My wife and I have been dreaming about building a rock wall for our kids for quite a while and these were *perfect*! PRODUCT QUALITY: The holds are concrete and come all around the same size but various difficulty levels, ranging from easy to more intermediate. It will definitely take my kids (currently under 2), as they're smaller than some of the large plastic holds on the market, but the concrete has such a beautiful natural rock look it's totally worth it. Each hold is custom molded to thread the provided installation hardware sturdily. They have a natural lava rock style texture that is satisfyingly grippy, and most have generous handhold grooves molded into them. Supports adult weight (check specific weight limits in product description). INSTALLATION: Comes with all the installation hardware (most others don't) and was super easy to install -- just drill a hole the size of the spiky silver back mount, hammer the back mount into the wood, then use a large allen wrench to screw in the rocks. Easy to switch around holds without taking down the wall. Google "DIY Indoor Rock Climbing Wall" for some great guides on how to do it yourself. It's a pretty easy project and will be sure to make your house the most popular hangout spot in town for your kids and their friends. CUSTOMER SUPPORT: I liked these so much that I ordered a second batch. There was an issue with the second shipment, so I contacted Rocky Mountain Climbing for assistance. Their rep was super helpful and attentive and made sure the issues with my order were fully addressed. I can't recommend them enough and their product speaks for itself!

These rocks are AWESOME! Perfect for the look we wanted for our rock wall.
We built a rock wall in the basement as a Christmas surprise for our kids. We have a little course/gym in our basement and have gone with the dark wood and metal pipes (monkey bars on ceiling) style so we wanted rocks that would match. Most rocks we found were the bright, primary colors and they only came with three shapes/sizes of rocks. We wanted something more natural looking and that had a good variety of shapes/sizes. Well we found it here! There are a bunch of styles and sizes, they are very natural looking and feeling, like real rocks. They fit our style perfectly and work great. We got the bolt style and just ordered some extra nuts to go with them so we could make our rock wall a grid of holes/nuts and easily move the rocks around as we like. We have some extra and plan to extend the wall as they are getting better at it. I really couldn't be happier with this product. Great quality and love the look - not kiddish looking at all. SO GLAD I found these and didn't have to go with the rainbow ones. I found black and white too, which would have been OK, but these just fit our 'manly' style of dark woods, metal and rock. This rock wall was the perfect addition to our basement mini-ninja course.

Nearly perfect, just a couple concerns
First thing: these "climbing holds" come with NO INSTRUCTIONS. It's pretty intuitive how to install them, so no big deal, but a few bits of info would be helpful. Mine arrived in a heavy Priority Mail box - holds loose in the box, hardware inside an envelope, with plastic bags inside. Things to know: 1) You need an 8mm Allen wrench (male hex drive) for the bolts. While not rare, this is not a tool that is in every home toolbox. It would have been nice to know this in advance. 2) The holds are different shapes (of course), but also different sizes and thicknesses. The largest ones have about three times the mass of the smallest. I recommend laying out all of the holds and choosing which goes where before you start installing. I figured they would all be roughly similar, and just started with whichever one was on top - I suggest more pre-planning. 3) Speaking of different thicknesses, I guess most climbing walls are built from 3/4" plywood, but I built my wall out of 5/4" deck boards. One of the holds was so thick that the mounting bolt did not reach the "T-nut", so I couldn't use that one (unless I drill the hole deeper). But that's okay because --> 4) One of the T-nuts was mis-threaded, and unusable. Fortunately, I laid out my wall for 24 holds, just in case of a problem. So I have one extra-thick hold, one mis-threaded T-nut, and one extra bolt, and my wall is just fine! Other: I was worried about two things. 1) Would the bolt head split or break the rock-like hold? They feel brittle, but apparently not. I tightened them, and they were great! I'm not sure what they are made of - feels like concrete, but smoother. 2) Since there is only one bolt per hold, would they spin? They tighten down and grip the wall pretty well, so I really don't think (at this point) that this will be a problem.

Good for over a year now!
I bought these for a kids climbing wall over a year ago because they seemed to be about the best value around. They have been out in the sun and rain for over a year now and are holding up very well. The bolts do have a bit of rust on them but not enough to be a concern. I mounted the handholds on a wall made of 2x6s. I had to countersink each hole on the back side in order for the bolts to reach far enough to thread into the t-nuts on the back side. You wouldn't have that problem on 3/4 inch plywood but the planks were better for my application. Only maintenance is that I just check to make sure all of the bolts are tight every couple of months and I have been good to go.

Perfect number of holds for a 4x8 wall
We built a rock climbing wall in our yard for our kids. These holds were perfect. We built a 4X8 wall, and had just enough holds to fill the space. We made rows of holds, a line of three, then a line of two, three, two, and so on. We put the holds about a foot apart from each other, and they spaced out perfectly. Instead of plywood, we used 2x4's to make it stronger, and just dug into the back side with a spade bit so we could use the hardware that was provided. It worked perfectly, and it looks great. My husband, who is over 200 pounds, was able to climb up them. They are very heavy duty and the kids love them. Oh, there is a strong epoxy smell when you first open the box. Just let it sit open for a day or two and the smell will dissipate. Highly recommend.

Great stuff!!
Really surprised by these as I know many people who have built home walls and no one had heard of these. I was trying to build a training wall bc of COVID-related gym closures, and most of the reviews for this were people building stuff for children. So I took the plunge and turns out they are amazing holds! They also become quite hard on steps and overhangs! I built a 50° overhang and the easiest route probably goes at V2. The only thing is the Tee nuts sometimes broke on me, but I think that was my own error. You'll want to pick up your own Tee nuts anyways if you plan on having a wall where you can change the routes up, and screw-on tee nuts I find are vastly superior to the toothed ones.

Real Climbing Holds
These seem to be actual climbing holds that are large and not hold specifically designed for children. They are concrete, not plastic like I was expecting for kids holds. Because of that, they can hold my weight easily (225 pounds) so I know they are safe to hold kids. There were maybe one or two in the box that were large but smooth and didn't provide an easy hold for a child. That said, I was still able to put together a climbing wall that my 3 year old could climb, so I consider them a success. One of the provided T nuts was the wrong size, but I only needed 24 holds for my wall. Overall they look very good and will probably hold up better over time than the brightly colored plastic kids holds.

Good but a few drawbacks worth mentioning
Just to note, in my thinking three starts means the product is acceptable but does not stand out as exceptional. Here are my thoughts after installing one month ago. I used these on 3/4" plywood ramp up to my son's loft bed. The good: The price is VERY reasonable compared to others. The hardware is nice for indoor use and feels sturdy. My son loves the set up and the surfaces are natural looking but are not so rough that he complains about getting hurt climing into bed (and out countless times for water/stories/whathaveyou - he is four). They arrived unbroken though unceremoniously packaged. The bad: The color is significantly darker than the photo depicts. Not a big deal, but still, get a new photo if your product changes. The smell of the product was intense upon first opening. It smelled like epoxy resin in my opinion, in fact the smell seemed to be coming from the oily substance that was all over the bags of hardware. I had to let the open box sit outside for 24 hours before my wife would let me bring them into the kids room. Especially for a product that is marketed towards kids this seems like an issue that should be mentioned. Finally and this is not really the sellers issue BUT worth mentioning. The holds are small. Great for kids but not for adults trying to climb them. When my wife and I need to get up into the loft to talk to our son or change the sheets etc. the hold hurt bare feet. I have solved this by wearing shoes not bare feet. Again, worth noting.

Muy buenos
Los tengo a la intemperie, lluvia, mucho sol, cambios de temperaturas bruscos y extremos, y allí siguen como el primer día, ni han perdido el color, muy buena calidad. Incluye la tornillería, de muy buena calidad.

Awesome product and fantastic customer service!
These holds are amazing! They look like real rock, are sturdy, and have amazing holds indents for kids and adults to grab onto. The owner is great and always available to answer questions. I needed these holds delivered early and asked the owner and they shipped them out right away. I expected to get 25 holds but actually ended up with a lot more in the box too! My 3 year old cousin absolutely loves the wall and loves these rocks! And adults can use them too!! FYI when they first arrive there’s a layer of sand on them. Just soak them in soap and water for 10 minutes and they’ll be perfect and ready to use.

Good stuff
Kids love it. Easy to install. Like the natural look versus the multi colour plastic ones. Has to be on 1 inch or less board. I was planning on using 2 inch but had to change. Not a big problem.

Great product
Just as pictured. I loved them. My kids adore them and there soooo strong. Great quality and would buy from this brand again. People often write about the horrible odour. I honestly don’t know what all the fuss is about. It had a slight smell but nothing I would even worry about.

Good solid holds for climbing wall
I like these holds, very solid. They feel just a bit more smooth than I was hoping for, compared to other brands I have used. Seem very solid and long lasting. Good value for the cost.
