I had to give it a 5 but ...
It was a little small, but I should have ordered the bigger size, my mistake on that part. It is easy to install and it works very well. I can see the pond and the wildlife that is there is no longer afraid of me when I am at the window enjoying nature. The bright sun doesn't get through and that keeps the room at a nicer temperature.

Easy Installation with Handy Grid Pattern
I had a great experience with the Jahoot One Way Privacy Window Film. The grid pattern on the peel-away backing made measuring and cutting a breeze. Once applied, it provided excellent privacy during the day while allowing natural light to filter through. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an easy-to-install privacy solution.

Easy to apply & works fairly well, but scared off the bird I was trying to spy on
I suppose for clarity I should start by letting you know I'm American, not British. Thus, when I say I was trying to spy on a bird, I'm referring to a robin rather than a lady. With that part out of the way, I'll note that this was easy to apply, stayed up quite well, and seemed to work fairly effectively. It was a bit confusing trying to figure out which side to point out, but other than that it was a really simple application. The problem is I bought this hoping it would allow my kids and me to watch the robin that was nesting outside our kitchen window without her flying away any time we got too close to the window. Unfortunately, she never came back after we put it up. I'm not sure if she saw her own reflection or just a shiny new wall behind the next, or maybe the reflection heated things up too much. Whatever it was, this chased her away. I'm giving it 3 stars because it seems like a pretty good product, but for this specific use it was completely counterproductive. I suppose, however, this product could be quite useful in dealing with a robin infestation.

Keeps heat out! We love this!
Put up in skylight and made a huge difference in brightness and heat. So we bought more for the front room that gets hotter than any other. The right window has no film, left does, so you can see the difference. And you can't see in but can see out just fine. There is only a slight tint.

Pretty Good Material - Apply Carefully
I bought this for a tall, narrow office window. I was worried that the vinyl would be too thin and prone to stretching. It is not. Any vinyl sheet will be prone to stretching, somewhat, but this material is sufficiently thick. The size was just as advertized. It is easy to apply, but requires some patience and preparation to apply it perfectly. I rushed and ended up with tiny air bubbles. The nice thing about this material, though, is that the lack of adhesive makes it quite forgiving. I was able to pull it up on the edges to let out air bubbles. As for the film's sunlight blocking ability, this material did reduce the light in my office somewhat, but not too much. It is very similar to wearing sunglasses - I can see the sun without it hurting my eyes, but not look directly at it. Here are some tips to keep in mind about this type of vinyl film, regardless of product or manufacturer: 1) Follow the directions exactly. Watch some tutorial videos online. Get a rubber squeegee (dollar store). It is very tricky to put this stuff up without air bubbles, stretching the vinyl, and creating ridges, but it CAN be done. 2) This roll is very long and narrow. Measure your window or glass pane before you purchase it. You want to avoid seams if possible. Try to purchase more than you need; then trim the vinyl after you apply it. 3) When you lay down the film, it is nearly impossible to get it perfectly plumb/square/level. Thus, I recommend that you align the vinyl, tape the top, remove the lower half of the backing, and work your way from the middle of the pane downward. Then remove the rest of the backing and work your way up. In other words, work from the middle outward, as much as possible. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.

Easy installation
I would not believe how easy it was to install this product. I simply sized the product with the window, clean and dried the area, removed the film, cut to size then I was done. Other than my cuts where the straightest it was unnoticeable. The install took about an hour start to finished. The next day it looked as if I had tinted glass installed. It is a bit darker then what thought it would be at night but I would buy the product again.

It works
I rent my home so I needed a non-adhesive window film so I could easily remove it when the time comes. This film does the job! The roll came in exactly the right size I needed to do two windows, the film was easy to cut (USE A SHARP RAZOR!) and it was easy to install. Without adhesive, you have to attach the film to the window frame with tape, so be advised. The film allows me to see clearly through the window and reduces the incredible heat of the NC sun.

Compromises clear view of the outdoors
I followed the directions to a T, but was disappointed in the results. The film is not clear as I expected. It makes the windows appear to be made of plastic--light is coming in, but the view outside from inside is not sharp as it is without film. We had film professionally applied to a different window about 5 years ago, and the view from inside remains clear to this day. I'm sure this film will reduce heat inside our Florida home, but we like to be able to see the outdoors clearly. It might be okay if our view was of a brick wall or a parking lot, but not obscuring the flora and fauna we enjoy so much. I will be taking it off and looking for some other window film. A refund would be nice.

Did it like it told u in the instructions...which is simple, done it before with other stuff, goes on easy and quick...2 months of super hot summer and it's still on like day 1...makes a huge difference in heat reduction. Will buy again!

After one season, the corners lifted on all windows.

I bought this for my south-facing back porch this summer and I'm so far pleased with the result. I wanted to be able to remove this from my windows when autumn comes around again, and I'm happy in that regard. The thermal barrier is excellent, and there is a noticeable and instant drop in temperature from when I first installed it... however, as someone else mentioned, the quality of the view has deteriorated dramatically as well. It is no longer crisp and clear - the vinyl/plastic blurs and distorts the view somewhat... but since my only alternative has been matchstick blinds which completely obliterate the view anyway, I'm still enjoying the effect this Spring with the first heat wave. I'll use both the blinds and this film for the summer, and hopefully it will have an even greater effect.

I have a large bay window this film keeps the heat out and nobody can see in. If you have a dog be careful my film was up 3 hrs when her nails damaged it. But works great.

I live in an apartment and these changed my life. Summer is unbearable with my AC units barely keeping up on 30 degree (C) days. My apartment has one wall that is all windows and these helped keep the heat out so much! Very easy to install if you follow the directions. Worth every penny.
