Please ignore the nonsense about lead. 18/8 stainless has no lead--it's chromium and nickel, so if you are sensitive to nickel, you should be aware that nearly all stainless steel has this issue. The potential for lead is at the solder points. The only solder points visible on this thermos are the handle attachments, but they are powder coated, just like the rest of the exterior. In other words, there is no lead danger from this thermos whatsoever. **Q: Still made in the U.S.?** A: Why does this come up when you search made in the USA thermos and have country of origin USA? **Q: why is this thermos a "kids" ?** A: I didn't notice it was marked a Kids thermos. We have both the old american version and the new China version. The american version is heaver (maybe better insulated but we haven't noticed if it is). The size is identical in both and uses the same cap at the top. **Q: Mine leaks around the gasket. I can't find replacement gaskets, replacement tops are almost half the price of a new thermos.
