WHAT GOT YOU HERE WON'T GET YOU THERE: HOW SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE BECOME EVEN MORE SUCCESSFUL

This is an amazing book, I wish I had this guide a few years earlier! It is as apt as its title, tells you what you are blinded by from your success, and how you can make small changes and be better. Be it your professional or personal life, this book is full of wise words to make you a better version of yourself.

I did what I always do before buying a book: Look at the ratings, read a bunch of reviews and after satisfying myself, order. The ratings and reviews won’t do justice, however, to this book. The ideas are simple and powerful. Perhaps, powerful because they are simple. If you are a manager managing a bunch of people, and are having some difficulties, then this book is for you. Pure and simple.

When I was in US, I became very fond of amazon.com. I was thrilled to see that amazon.in had sprung up and thought to try out the service. So let me give you a review of book and service. Service: Like 1. Liked the same look and feel of amazon website 2. Liked the same ordering process etc 3. Liked the fullfiled by amzon, made me feel very comfortable 4. Book arrived on tim 5. Book was packed in a solid cardboard box so it prevented any damage tot he book Service: DidntLike 1. No SMS/Email to tell me that book had shipped 2. No SMS or any notification to my email that book had been delivered 3. Though book was in good condition, i could tell book was old ie it is dirty from the back and there is a white sticker that was brown ie dirt. Not that it maters but it should be known Book:Like 1. This book tells you common mistakes people make as they progress through their careers. This books helps you realize your blind spots. 2. I am still reading through the book and some of the blind spots it discusses are along the lines of putting others down, talking to much etc. All this we already know but reading this book put these 20 or so points in a different spotlight based on real life examples. As I read through the book, I will provide further updates. OVERALL - I like the amazon service and would recommend this to my family/friends. However, I still have to understand the return policy and I am hoping this is simple as US and not as fraudelent/complicated as some other so called ecommerce outlets in India.

My heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Marshall Goldsmith for sharing his wisdom in this book. I just finished reading it. Many books focus on what one "needs to do" to achieve success, but this is the first book I've encountered that explores what one "needs to stop" to attain success. Especially what “Annoying habits” the leaders needs to stop..

Book is good and delivered on time. But the text fonts are very small.

Very good book, really recomend!

This was recommended by my manager at work when I inquired about moving up, and after reading it I would say this should be required reading for anybody with any designs on a career in leadership.

Remember Darwin and his intuitions (but even thousand years before). We change, the world around us changes, and when we acknowledge the change and decide to go further there are some things we should consider and understand.

Nothing really new or amazing BUT I got much to do (or better to say: not to do)!
