Very Functional & Light For The Price
I took these on a long hiking trip and very much appreciated the additional power from using my arms and felt more confident negotiating streams and tight trails with them. The handles are reasonably comfortable, the cork feels good, but the straps do come loose and require tightening now and then. I have only used the smaller baskets. They are easily adjusted and feel secure. They are light and much lower costs than what I saw in recreational stores.

In-depth Review & Comparison
I searched for a 3K carbon hiking pole and did quite a bit of comparison before making my decision. I decided on the Peak Walk 3K and the Cascade Mountain 3K. What I was searching for was a very lightweight 3K carbon fiber hiking pole without the expensive price tag and very resilient. Before deciding on these two hiking poles I looked at the higher end models down to the mid range models, and set up a spreadsheet to compare just about everything I could think of. (I geek out over the details!) For me these two poles fit the bill of what I was looking for in terms of specs. These two poles are very, very close to one another with a few exceptions and I’ll break them down and include some pics (Peak Walk on the right and Cascade Mountain on the left.) Weight: (CM lists 7.8oz per pole which is inaccurate along with a few other specs.) PW - 7.51oz per pole, CM - 8.32oz/pp (.81oz diff. Per pole/1.62oz per pair for you ounce counters.) Thickness: PW - 9/16”, CM - 5/8”. (The Cascade Mtn. is noticeable thicker which I like.) Storage Bags: PW is waterproof but the CM is better in all aspects. It’s made of ripstop, better webbing strap, better buckle, better draw string, better cord cinch and a separate zippered pouch for storing the extra feet. I won’t be using the bag, but it’s a really nice one. The attachments for the CM are heavier duty than PW, but I won’t use those either. The tips on the poles appear the be the same. Handle - the handle on the PW are a very comfortable EVA foam type handle. The CM is cork, but not as comfortable to me. It’s pretty firm. Handle Strap - the PW is a very comfortable strap and padded where it makes contact with your hand. The CM has a soft material like the soft side of Velcro sewn on the strap where it makes hand contact. Quick Locks - the PW has aluminum metal flip locks which I really like, because you don’t won’t to lose a lock on an outing of any real distance. The CM on the other hand has lightweight plastic flip locks. Sheen/Finish - the PW has a nice matte grey finish, where the CM has a gloss finish that looks almost 3D with the carbon fiber. It’s pretty cool. There is also a metallic Silver reflective tape on each pole. Collapsed Length - CM is 26.25” and PW is 24.75” long. Both have a 1 year warranty. My final note is that the PW has a very comfortable grip, but has a bouncy-shuttering effect and feel when it’s planted firmly in the ground where the CM has a solid and sure footed feel in the hand. What it boils down to is metal flip locks or a better performing 3k pole. This may be information overload for most, but there may be some researchers out there that I hope this helps out. You wouldn’t know this information otherwise unless you order both like I did. All in all, they’re both really nice poles. It’ll come down to what categories are the most important to you, but I personally think I’m leaning towards the response and performance of the CM.

I ordered 3 of these sets of these poles. Gray and Black.
The two gray ones are beautifully done in color, as is the black one. But the cases are totally different. THE gray ones have a heavy honeycomb appearing case with a full zipper. It's very nice looking. NO, HANDLE. Only drawback is there's no separate zipper pouch for the accessories The Black poles are nice and sturdy but the red clasps look cheap like they could break EASILY. Just the color? Not really as pictured online. The BLACKS case is cheap thin nylon and only opens at the top, which means ripping it is a huge possibility reliading the poles. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS CASE! The only plus is it has a handle and a separate pouch for the accessories. Guess it's my fault for not looking closer at rhe pictures when buying, they to were not the best representation of the product. All in all I must keep them, I can't send them back now as they are gifts to family, but PLEASE DO A BETTER JOB REPRESENTING YOUR OREGON PRODUCT. I AM AN OREGONIAN!

Really nice trekking poles for the price.
Bought for my petite wife. They adjusted fine right to her 4'11" height. They're amazingly light, the tension adjustment is easy, and works. Lots of little details make them a nice set. Small cork handles, foam handles below for a quick shift to accommodate short uphill places without even having to stop and adjust the poles. Reflective tape, a full set of accessories, and a nice nylon bag.

Pole This Pole That
I bought these hiking poles to replace the two poles I used on my 47 rim to rim to rim trek in the Grand Canyon and down to Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon. These hiking poles are built a lot better than the ones I had that just literally fell apart! These are built really sturdy to sustain any loads put on them while you are hiking, and I love the cork at the top, which gives you better grip and I like the additional attachments that you can put on the bottom of the poles for better attraction on whatever terrain your hiking. They are really sharp looking, and I wish I had had them on my big hikes in the Grand Canyon – that’s for sure! I have used them for normal hikes up and down small mountains where they have worked really nicely. They supported my weight very nicely and kept me stable going through rocky areas, along edges of cliffs and over tree roots. I also love how they have easy height adjustment attachments on them, which makes it more easy to adjust to your height, and in turn makes them easier to use.

Amazing quality and value, can't go wrong !!!
Very impressive set of treking poles, very impressive price! Quick release adjustments are easy fast and won't freeze shut like a twist lock, the carbon fiber shock absorption feels more stable and consistent vs a traditional spring loaded treking pole shock absorbtion system. Amazingly they come with 2 sets of rubber feet that really stay on and protect the titanium tips until you really need them, ice!!! Also comes with mud and snow baskets and a cool case. They have taken a pounding and are holding up. Amazing quality amazing value... Can't go wrong!!!

Tienen buena calidad, lo malo es que las extensiones se bajan si te apoyas mucho sobre ellos, aun así aguantan súper bien para salidas de hike avanzadas … sigo sin encontrarle un uso a los accesorios adicionales.

A good pole for entry-level users with some great features at an excellent price. That review was for their Carbon Fibre. These are 3K Carbon Fibre which offer greater strength.

These have been excellent in helping me recover from my chemotherapy. They help me maintain my balance and I have significantly increased my number and speed of steps over the last few weeks. The are very adjustable including the hand straps. I highly recommend them.

I used these poles for one hike which was wet and slippery and they performed well in these conditions. They came with all the accessories and a carry bag.
