Golf 36 Practice Ball Refill Pack - Yellow

I've held off writing this review until I've had plenty of time to evaluate these. They are great! They've held up through many "rounds" of simulator golfing (Optishot 2). Sure, if you continually top or blade them, they will fray or start to wear but I haven't thrown away any of the 36 so far. I normally keep about 15 to 20 on my simulator map and rotate them around so they all get about the same amount of use.These balls are "THE" ones to get and use for your indoor simulator. They haven't damaged the walls (Yeah, I've shanked a few that didn't make it to my net!) and are many times better than the standard foam balls.

Just like the reviewers say. I've hit my windows square on multiple times without coming close to breaking them...you get true spin and ball flight as well. The only negative is that you still need a really big yard or you're going to be seeing a lot of your neighbors. I'm on a little over a 1/2 acre and exclusively use my wedge with these to hit over the house from the front yard to the back yard, and then back again, and it barely fits. I will say, it's fun to see your neighbors face as you're lining up to quack a golf ball right in front of your front door....they can't believe you're confident enough that your going to miss your house - little do they know it doesn't matter.

I have been using these balls for many years and they are great. You really get a sense for how you are hitting the ball as far as trajectory, spin, and with a little imagination, distance. I have a backyard that is about 110 yards from my tee off area to the tree line and this allows me to pretty much swing away with any club and keep the ball in play as long as there's no wind at my back. The balls do eventually wear but they keep their characteristics (losing a little distance over time) for many hits. They have really helped my game because it's so much easier (and cheaper) to go out and hit a few in the backyard in the evening rather than going to the driving range so I tend to do it way more often than I would otherwise.

We use these for an indoor golf simulator. The launch monitor reads them just like it does with real balls without the scary shank shot destroying something. I tried them back to back with real golf balls and we get the same reading from the launch monitor. Our launch monitor easily goes to the range and comparing distance and shot shape with real balls is true to what we see in the simulator at home. So we reduce the wear and tear on the impact screen and the "DUCK!" when there is as shank or toe hit. Your not going to feel the miss hit like you do with a real ball, but ball flight lets you know anyway.

Perfect for indoor practice!! Special thanks to the people that answered my questions on Amazon. Made the purchase and very pleased. It worked with my VC launch monitor. My distance is not accurate, but that’s expected. Hitting driver had a really nice sound and feel!! It’s not squishy. It has a hardness to it, but won’t put holes in the drywall; hence me buying these balls. I’ve only hit in the garage at a net, so can’t really say much about ball flight. This review was done after finishing up a 100 ball practice session. Very good alternative to “real” golf balls. Much better than the LF foam balls, by far.

I have used these practice balls for some time now and purchased this Refill Pack to replenish my supply which were lost, cut or seemed to have lost their responsiveness. Almost Golf (or someone) claims that the ball travels about 1/3 the distance of a real ball but I find (at least for me) that it travels a little more than 40% of the distance. Nevertheless, they are perfect for my short practice range because they give me good feedback on trajectory and I don't need to worry about them going too far.

I wasn't sure these practice balls would work - but I took a chance after watching some of the You Tube videos. These balls are great! They allow you to practice all your shots around your home without worry of breaking a window or "skulling" one of your family members! And they impart a pretty accurate feel when you hit them - BUT you have to put a good swing on them otherwise they bury into the grass - letting you know you miss hit the shot! GREAT ADVANCEMENT from the whiffle balls and hard plastic practice balls of the 50's and 60's! These work! And make home practice something you'll want to do.

To say my backyard is now a driving range is an understatement. These golf balls are a gift from above. My property is just under a half acre and I hit to a pin that's 50 yards away. Since these balls travel half the distance than regular golf balls, I am shooting hundred yard shots (knock-down pitching wedge) to a flag. They draw. They fade. I can also hit short 9, 8 and 7 iron shots as well. I've easily used the same balls 10,000 times. And they still fly true. Worth every penny if you compare it to going to a range. And right in your backyard! Doesn't get any better. Bring out a cup of coffee in the am, hit a 100 balls. Bring out a scotch after work, hit a hundred balls. The bomb! The only down side, that I've experienced, is they don't clean well. Maybe the only other downside is they make playing in your backward so convenient and fun, that you kind of get lazy to get in your car to drive 20 minutes to the range.

Great for yard practice

The balls seem of good quality, I expected that they would be a little softer than they are as my usage is with the optishot golf simulator with a projection screen. I haven't tried them on that yet as I am waiting for a replacement mat for the unit. But for backyard practive balls, (which is really what they are meant for, I would say they are good.
