Love these lights! Easy to install and give a great bevel look. The ONLY con is that if you cut the hole over a rafter, these lights are thicker than .5” drywall and will stick out. Torchstar does make thinner lights but not with the bevel look (not that I can find anymore). I’ve probably bought over 100 of these over the years. I’ve had an issue with only a handful of the lights and the company has been super responsive and helpful! I really like these lights and will continue to put these in my properties, highly recommend!

I installed this set(8 lights) in the ceiling of my two car garage. It took about a day to put them in, working by myself. Mostly because my attic had a partial sub floor, and extensive insulation. These lights really brightened it up. It was worth the time and effort to do the install. I may install a dimmer later on if my wife complains about it being too bright, but I think it's perfect. I used a Kobalt 6 3/8" Whole Saw that I bought at Lowes for $20 to cut the holes for the lights in the ceiling drywall. It worked great. I also needed a 250ft roll of Romex 14/2,($40 and I have about 1/3 of it left over) and a 25 pack of plastic Romex connectors I bought on Ebay($9). You will definitely need some type of connector to shield your wire when it exits or enters the wiring box that is used for each light. They do not include them with the lights. The total cost of the material to do the job including the light kit was around $150. I am happy with that. I would install them again if I needed them in another garage.

These LED lights are very comfy with 2700K color setting. Perfect for bedrooms. 1000Lm brightness seems accurate compared to 800Lm bulbs. They also fit perfectly the 6.125" holes made with the hole saw available on Amazon here as well. Bought used for $45/8 lights (Like New) and I think it's a great deal. Cannot tell anything about lifespan yet. Will update if they die soon. No flicker yet either.

These lights were an easy and attractive upgrade for two bedrooms in my house. The hardest part of the install was cutting the hole in the ceiling and making sure to verify that there were no obstructions above the hole location such as ceiling joists, ductwork or electrical wiring. Like some other reviewers have mentioned, a 6-3/8" hole saw is a must and easily found at local home improvement stores for around $20. Once the hole is drilled the lights easily snap tightly into place. Mounting the junction boxes in my attic above each light took a little time but once in place the wiring connector on the junction box twist locks firmly onto the connector on the light. I purchased the 5000K models and very happy with the light output. It dramatically brightened the bedrooms. Also, I installed a dimmer for the lights and can verify that they are definitely dimmable without issue. Great purchase and very happy with them.

Was very surprised at how easy these installed and how wonderful bright they are. Some complain that they are over 6" for the ceiling hole. I just used a 6 inch hole saw and then notched the spots with a good utility knife for snug fit. You could do the same with any drywall saw or zip saw. It was still easy. The junction boxes are also straight forward and simple. Good experience with this product. I don't do them often but I think they dim ok. Really it seems like 50% then off but that seems common with all my LED lamps. Just something to be aware of if you're looking for that fade that incandescent does.

EDITED: I believe the flickering was caused as not all of the lights had been installed, even though on 3 switches but once the last set was installed, the flickering stopped. Happy customer now. First, the good. Great looking, easy to install and bright. Second, the bad and it is driving me crazy. I have them on dimmers and I can't get them to stop flickering. Electrician can't find what is wrong with them. Anyone have any suggestions? They are installed inside cabinets, super high and I really don't want to take them out if I don't have to.

These were a lot easier than I thought to wire and install. Comes with a template to make the cuts . Use it . There’s not a lot of play in the hole . So cut as tight as you can . Lights a very bright . Actually so bright that now I can see all imperfections through out the room .(walls ceiling ect)

Very bright. They do not look cheep. My electrician loves them. Said they were so easy to install he "almost" hated to charge me for it. I have them hooked up to a dimmer that can be controlled by Alexa or Google Home. I love not having to get up out of bed to make sure my kids turned off the lights. Led's are huge power savers. I definitely recommend these lights.
