If one of the strings cuts too deep, well in addition of no power trying to cut grass with one string is impossible.The cartridges are a bit expensive and hard to find. I will say that in a few months this cartridges will no longer be manufactured and you will have a weedeater that cannot longer be used.Horrible, don't buy this.
