Excellent full 360° dashcam option
I’ve been using the Vantrue E360 dash cam for a few days now, and it has definitely exceeded my expectations—especially for a 360° camera in this price range. Right out of the box, setup was quick and straightforward. The camera’s compact size and touchscreen interface make it extremely user-friendly, even for someone who isn’t very tech-savvy. Within minutes, I had it mounted, powered, and fully operational. The video quality is one of the biggest highlights. For a full 360° camera, the clarity is noticeably better than I anticipated. The way it captures the entire surrounding environment is impressive, and the footage is split into two perspectives in the app, making it easy to review from different angles. Whether during the day or at night, the overall sharpness and level of detail are solid for a camera of this type. The audio quality is also very good. It records voices and background noise clearly without any distortion, which is important when reviewing incidents or interactions. The mobile app adds to the experience—it’s clean, intuitive, and offers a wide range of customization options. You can adjust settings, manage files, and fine-tune the camera features directly from your phone with ease. Connecting to the camera’s Wi-Fi is practically effortless. It only takes a few seconds to pair, and the connection is stable. The only inconvenience I’ve run into is with Apple CarPlay. If your phone is connected to CarPlay, it will automatically switch back to it, preventing the camera from staying connected. This isn’t a flaw in the camera itself, but it’s something iPhone users should be aware of. There are a few notes worth mentioning. The IR lights on the front camera tend to reflect off the windshield at night, which creates a mild glare in the video. It doesn’t make the footage unusable, but it is noticeable in darker environments. Another thing is the G-Force sensor sensitivity. Even with the sensitivity turned all the way down, the camera still triggers the save-video feature when driving over something like railroad tracks or hitting certain bumps in the road. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it is more sensitive than other dash cams I’ve used. Despite those minor issues, I’m thoroughly impressed with the overall performance. The E360 is small, sleek, easy to install, and very responsive. The touchscreen makes navigating menus simple, and being able to instantly save video clips directly to your phone is incredibly convenient. Just keep in mind, you will need an SD card, as the camera relies on loop recording to store video. Since this camera has checked all the boxes for me—ease of use, quality, reliability, and a great app experience—I’ve already decided to purchase a second one for my wife’s car. The added peace of mind and the comprehensive 360° coverage make it absolutely worth it.

If you want 360° coverage this is the one
Very happy so far. I've been using it about a month. Impressed with the build quality and customizable features. I am powering it with a Vantrue OBD2II adapter which I purchased separately. Yes the image is fisheye and kind of strange but the fact that you can get true 360° coverage from One camera is pretty incredible. I did not order the rear camera because the resolution is high enough that you can zoom in through the back window should you need to. Plus, usually if you get hit from behind it's almost always the other driver's fault, so it is the least important area for camera coverage IMO. Very important: make sure you are using a heavy duty SD card because the constant recording will take a toll. Do your research on this and don't skimp out on the SD card. On that note, when I put my SD card into the slot it did not seem to click in properly. Usually they are spring-loaded so the card will pop in and out but it feels like it didn't seat properly. However, it's functioning fine so I'm not going to deduct a star for that because it could be related to the card as well, but worth mentioning. I easily spent half a day researching different dash cam options from known an unknown brands, single and multi-camera setups etc. I came back to this one and couldn't be happier. Also comes with two clear windshield stickers and two adhesive mounts which is nice in case you screw up the first one like I did. Compare hardware specs and resolution to other cameras and this is hands down the best bang for the buck.

Frustrating Experience: Damaged Delivery, Faulty Replacement, Poor Support
I rarely leave 1‑star reviews, but my experience with the Vantrue E360 Plus has been extremely frustrating. My first delivery arrived damaged, so I had to request a replacement right away. After finally receiving the new unit, I had it professionally installed by Best Buy Geek Squad, expecting everything to work smoothly. Unfortunately, the rear camera fails repeatedly. It only works temporarily when unplugged and reconnected, but stops functioning again as soon as the car is turned off. The Geek Squad technician diagnosed the issue and confirmed that the problem is likely with the wiring or the product itself, not the installation. I contacted Support@Vantrue, hoping for a quick and reasonable solution. Instead, the response was slow, unhelpful, and honestly quite disappointing. They insisted on replacing only the backup camera USB cable first, and said they would “work on the product” only if that doesn’t fix it. After spending this much money — and doing so much research before buying — this is not the level of support or reliability I expected. I chose this dash cam because of the strong reviews and advanced features, but I’ve ended up with multiple issues, wasted time, and no proper resolution. Very dissatisfied with both the product quality and the customer support.

Unique and high quality
The E360 is a very interesting dashcam. It has the ability to display a nearly 360-degree view, courtesy of both front and rear facing fisheye lenses, by cleverly splicing the video from front and rear cameras into one video output, with the rear facing video displayed on the left and the front facing camera on the right. It’s a novel idea with perhaps limited usefulness but it’s quite nice for the right occasion. However, the E360 also functions quite well as a dual camera system. With several modes to choose from including dual fish-eye, dual 1944P at 30 FPS, and dual 1440P at 60 FPS, the camera is quite flexible. In these modes, two separate video files are created for the front and rear facing cameras. There is a Time Lapse function that can be configured with various options from 1 FPS through 15 FPS that I find very handy for speeding up the video on longer drives, for example reducing a 30 minute drive down to as little as 1 minute of video. The E360 can also accommodate adding a rear camera that can be mounted to the rear window of the vehicle. A parking mode is available that requires hard-wiring the power or connecting to the OBD port using an optional kit. The E360 is easy to install on the inside of the windshield using the provided mounting brackets with 3M tape and electrostatic stickers. The mounting seems very solid with no risk of breaking free and the electrostatic stickers (2 included) make it very easy to cleanly remove from the windshield if necessary. The camera is a bit tall so you need to carefully consider placement on the windshield that allows unobstructed video recording while also allowing you access to the controls without obstructing your view ahead. Tall windshields will have no problem though the camera will be more prominent on short windshields or those with a sharp rake. Recorded video quality is exceptional from both front and rear facing cameras and the videos can be quickly and easily downloaded to your phone over 5GHz WiFi connection or to your computer with the included USB cable. I did note some flaring in the video at some points when the camera was facing the mid-afternoon sun. I hope to resolve that by purchasing their polarizer filters though, ideally, they would have been included. Video can then be played using the Vantrue app on your phone or computer. Somewhat confusing, there are two different apps available, the Vantrue app and the Vantrue Connected app. Each have their quirks. The Vantrue Connected app appears to be designed for use with their optional LTE module that allows you to connect to a cellular network. I don’t own nor did I test that module. However, the Vantrue Connected app seems to expect you to have a cellular connection to download directly so my download attempts were unsuccessful. However, there is a folder browse function that allows you to download one or more selected videos after selecting the Edit option. One thing to note if you use wireless Apple CarPlay: you must temporarily disable CarPlay if you desire to connect to the camera to change camera options because both would be competing to connect to WiFi on your phone. To be honest both apps need some work but, all in all, they work well once you learn their quirks. The Vantrue app for the PC works quite well and allows you to view your route on the map while you view the videos, very nice. Overall, this is an excellent camera with great video quality certainly worthy of 4 stars. If they fixed the quirks in their mobile apps, I would give it five stars.

Inconsistent GPS connection.
I got this to replace the E3 that recently died. The camera quality is spectacular, and since the E3 uses the same cable to connect to the rear camera it was easy to change over. The only reason why im giving 2 stars is for inconsistent GPS connection. I have it mounted in the same spot on my windshield as I did with the E3 that had no problem with GPS connection. Im considering on returning and getting a different model... I'm not sure if it is worth the money considering the GPS connection issues. Update... After assistance from Vantrue, the cause for my problems with the GPS was that I was using the rear camera cable for the E3 that was incompatible with the E360, after swapping out the cable the problem went away. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic customer service.

Needs more features for the price
Vantrue E360 Plus All Channel Dash Cam, 585° Dual STARVIS 2 fisheye front + fisheye inside rear dash camera dual night vision GPS WiFi touchscreen parking mode voice control support 1TB E360 Plus. This arrived very well-packaged and like-new and as-pictured online. All-in-all the various cameras and parts feel very well-made and high-end. The camera quality is great but….I do wish it was better for picking up license plates. The quality of the images also depends on how clean your windows are etc. The app is pretty easy to use and straightforward to download. I do wish it was more user-friendly tho and that you could connect via Bluetooth instead of WiFi. Also, I wish you could access more settings from the camera view without having to go in to one or two separate pages. It does not include a micro SD card, fyi, which it needs to function properly, so you will need to purchase one separately. I was bummed by this for the price(240$, at the time of ordering) but luckily my hubby had a spare SD card he wasn’t using. Set up was pretty easy in my vehicle but the included cords are thicker than expected and quite long. Unfortunately it does not look as “discreet” as I would like. The cord wouldn’t stay tucked in my windshield crack so I had to use the included plastic holders. They get the job done but again are a bit of an eyesore. I do wish it included more of them. I got, I think, 6 total. Not nearly enough. I have a 2017 VW Tiguan, fyi, and the included cord was long enough to stretch from front window to back with probably 3 feet of spare cording. I imagine this could easily be installed in a full size SUV or truck. One thing that peeves me, is while in use, the green circular like on the side flashes constantly which I find distracting while driving. Also, the motion sensor is VERY touchy, and I live down a dirt road so anytime I hit a pothole or bump it beeps—presumably thinking I had an “incident”. While I’m glad it’s sensitive, I do wish it were more “intuitive” for the high cost. I also really wish there was a rechargeable/cordless option for the price/“high quality”. I REALLY wanted to like this camera set and my initial impression was that the quality was miles about my old brand 20$ camera from Walmart. I wish the front camera had a horizontal option because the 360° view feels camera and hard to make out despite the high resolution in person. It “feels” very sturdy(about touching the fisheyes due to heat burns!!) but the actual visual takes up less than half the surface with the bottom half being solid black with their logo and internal camera. Personally, I wouldn’t mind the camera’s bulk it if could provide clear license plates in any scenario. I don’t have any issues applying the adhesive panel, but you do basically get “one shot” at it as they only include a second piece and no more. It sticks well in hot and cold temps and hasn’t fallen off or budged. It CAN function as a portable selfie camera etc, which is cool!, but you’ll need to purchase a tripod separately. Oh! And as for night vision, the image quality is so-so. I like in a rural area with few night lights so the quality is not what I’d like to say the least. At the end of the day, I like the quality of these cameras, BUT— for nearly 300 smackers this set ought to be more functional or have more options for that price. For that reason, I give it a 3/5 stars. I will continue to use this in the future, after all, having a dash cam is better than none at all. But I do worry how useful it will actually be in the invent of an actual accident, God forbid. I will update here in the future if I have anything else to add.

Can record person coming up to driver or passenger window, like police in traffic stop
Wrap around pictures record person coming up to driver or passenger window, like police in traffic stop, drive-up window, or someone asking or giving directions. It also covers all other directions, 360 degrees. I got kit to connect to car battery at fuse box, so it stays on when I stop the car. It turns off only if the car battery drops below 12 volts, so it doesn't drain the battery. I got 512GB microSD card which holds about 30 hours before overwriting the oldest recordings. It was so good I got another and recommended it to friends.

Vantrue E360 is a high quality easy to use dashcam
I found the E360 dashcam really easy to install in the vehicle. And while it is not super hot here right now theoretically the manner in which this dashcam is attached to the windshield should allow it to work much better than my previous dashcam where the suction cup fails in really hot weather with direct sunlight beating down on the connection area. So, I really liked the way there is a small plastic sheet (similar to what the protection screen that lots of people would apply to their smartphone screens) applied to the windshield and then the dashcam base sticks to that plastic screen. The set-up of the functionality of this dashcam was also really easy and intuitive. The menu items can be pulled up by swiping down from the top of the screen which is similar to what smartphone users would do to pull up a number of smartphone features. Moving through the menu items was also very easy and the camera is very responsive with there being no lag when you swipe left/right or up/down on the screen. Setting up the dashcam for the first time was also a fairly simple process. The dashcam comes with a quick set-up booklet that is easy to follow. Note that I did have one step that I missed and as a result I ended up reaching out to Vantrue's Support Team by both e-mail and by phone. In both cases the Support Team was really prompt in responding. By e-mail it was in less than 1/2 the time they indicated on their website a response could take. And by phone when I reached out they called me back within about 1 minute of me calling them. And the Customer Support Team Member I spoke with was able to assist with my set-up question in a matter of minutes. I did not ever feel that my question needed to be escalated to anyone other than the one and only Customer Support Member I spoke with. Photo Quality-I have attached a couple of photos above. Please note that I have adjusted the width of these photos so they do not represent the full width of any photos that you would actually see when using the dashcam. I thought the expanse of the photos and also of the video this camera takes was just excellent. Much wider views than I was able to get from my previous dashcam. And when taking snapshots the dashcam takes a shot of both the view out the front windshield of the vehicle as well as from the rear facing lens so it will capture both front and back views. I also thought the quality of the video and photos was really quite good. I also really liked the built in functionality that allows you to view video and photos from the E360 dashcam. It was really easy to use. And the ability to add the Vantrue app to your smartphone and view photos and video on the spot through your smartphone (through wi-fi) was also an extremely beneficial and useful tool. I expect most dashcams allow you to view video and pictures through a smartphone now but this dashcam absolutely has that benefit included and I am mentioning this because my previous dashcam did not have this functionality available. I would very much recommend this dashcam for the ease of installation and really importantly for me because it would appear this dashcam will stay in place on the windshield better than the dashcams with suction cup technology during really hot weather, the amount of area captured by the video/photos, the quality of the videos/photos, the benefit of the Vantrue app for your smartphone, the build quality of this dashcam and last but certainly not least the Customer Service support from Vantrue. So, after about 10 days of use, this has been a really great product for me so far and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a solid, well built, quality dashcam. And my experience with Vantrue (product and support) has been a very positive one. Highly recommend the E360 and Vantrue.

TOP
