they are simple pens great for people who writes a lot. I use these and hi-tec and for someone who writes a lot (studying for exams and what not) these are actually better and much comfortable.

Love these pens I've had them for over a year now and they still write extremely well. The manufacturing of these pens produces a really smooth ink that's unlike a normal ballpoint pen. It just glides over paper and doesn't get stuck like a cheap dry BIC pen. It dries quickly on paper, but not when you leave them open accidentally exposed to air which is amazing. I love the style of clicking and the size and build of the pen is just right for me. It also stands out a lot as a white pen so it's easy to find too.

The Monami 153 is a nice cheap pen. The 0.7mm tip writes decently for a ballpoint. The click is satisfying. I've only had a few pens with a side release, such as the Mitsubishi Boxy. It's actually a lot of fun. (BTW, these feel cheaper and lack the unique ergonomic feel of the Boxy but they cost less and write more smoothly.) These pens are pretty minimalist but that's okay. It's part of the charm and they work well for what they are. It's worth adding a few of these to your kids' pencil box, your home pen cup, or the office/school supply cabinet just for something new.

Back in college, I really liked Monami 153 pens for taking down notes. I couldn't find them for a good while since then. Good thing I decided to check on here. Now I've got plenty! I like the hexagon barrel and click mechanism. It doesn't have a clip but I always ended up breaking those off anyway. Writes very smoothly for a ballpoint (not gel) pen. It's not thick like most of the ballpoints you'd find at the big stores. On top of all that, it's relatively cheap! It's the perfect pen for my needs, and when I'm out, I'll definitely consider these again.
