If you pull it out all the way, then push back in slightly, you should be able to set the time. **Q: What powers this watch? Battery or kinetic?** A: Battery. I’ve had this watch for almost 10 years. And Casio is a well known brand (I also have Orient, Seiko, Traser, Timex - just ordered another Orient). A basic simplistic battery ticker. Only a couple days use and seconds are spot on so far. Band is already softening up (also bought a couple NATO bands for this and other watches, but I think I can live fine with this band, just don't care for the shine / knocked a shiny star for that. The second hand is spot on the ticks/markers. Crown guards are just right. Watch & band is great for my wrist size. The ticking is not loud like a couple other watches I have/had. I have to hold it to my ear to hear it. What a bargain at its price point. Simple, clean, some classy look. Lets see... do I wear a Casio for the Casino. Add 3/10/18 - getting ready to re-set the time for time change and checking this watch time (I hack the seconds to GMT on seconds) I notice since I got this watch that the seconds is running +15 seconds ahead from day one when I set it. Not bad, not bad at all for a watch especially at this price. Can't complain about that. Still looks good (like new) and the band has softened for my wrist. For a simple inexpensive watch that hold time well, I'm pretty happy about that.
