What battery does this take?

The battery is a CR2016, but we strongly recommend that you send your Freestyle watch to our repair center for the battery change to preserve your warranty and ensure that your watch is properly resealed and pressure tested afterward to maintain its specified water resistance specification. If the watch is opened by an unauthorized repair center the warranty is null and void.

Can the strap on this leash watch be replaced with a clip strap?

Yes it can, as long as the clip strap is also the Shark Classic size (20mm width)

Does it have the date on it

Yes it does, just push the upper right pusher to show the date.
