This is an outstanding instant read thermometer. It has every feature, instant on, accurate temperature, magnets to attach to hood or bbq, and large digital read out, that I've wanted. I'm not sure if this item has ever been reviewed on America's Test Kitchen, but if it didn't come out on top it would certainly be a best buy. Truly great performance.

Very good thermometer! I needed to replace my old one which was very inaccurate. This one is so easy to use and seems very durable. I think it's a good value for the price and I love that it's magnetic so I stick it right on my fridge. Can't attest to the battery life as yet or how waterproof it is, but it's very accurate. I used it to check the water for my homemade bread and it read the temp immediately.

I'm very happy with the meat thermometer. It works well, quickly and accurately. The display is easy to read and it is also easy to use.

It is easy to use and reads quickly, but I am suspicious. If I cook a small roast for under an hour, this usually read about 178 degrees. I was looking for 145 degrees. But if I cook it much less, the meat is undercooked.

This unit has minimal features (it does have a 'hold' function to freeze the reading on the display) but works well. I don't know what use the Hold function has (maybe one wants to measure what's cooking and travel to their neighbor's house to share it), but at the cost of this thing I don't care. What I do care about is accuracy, previously owning a similar device that was grossly inaccurate, causing me to end up with several improperly cooked meals. In that regard, this unit seems very good, practically speaking, having no other means available to verify its calibration.

This probably seems silly, but this is seriously one of THE best purchases I've ever made in my life. I needed a good meat thermometer for YEARS. I bought cheap dial ones but they never really worked - I ruined sooo many Thanksgiving turkeys. Every year I said "I HAVE to buy one" (and my husband said, "YES please do") but the ones at the store were either too cheap or seemed expensive for something I would rarely use (or so I thought), just felt like a pointless expense so I kept putting it off. Then my teenage son started getting into cooking, he really enjoyed grilling meats - burgers and steaks especially - and a few times he undercooked the food so much that I finally caved and said OK I'll grab one.. I've never been so grateful for my own laziness! I didnt want to go to the grocery store, there were only 1 or 2 options and I wasn't excited about them, so naturally I jumped on Amazon. This was one of the best reviewed and top recommended, AND was also shockingly inexpensive (I think I paid around $10). I was impressed as soon as I got it. I love that it turns on as soon as you 'open' it, its always ready, it really is instant and the thermometer works flawlessly. I actually used it on myself, as a body temp thermometer, just to test it - and YUP I was a perfectly healthy 98.6! Its super easy to clean, its like the perfect kitchen tool. AAAAND, as if I didnt already love it enough, only recently discovered that its a freaking MAGNET! So we never have to dig for it, its always an arm's length away. My budding chef of a son has also raved about it, its sort of a running joke with us now, how this is one of our most prized possessions. And needless to say, no one has undercooked OR overcooked anything since we got this. We use it way more often than I ever would've expected. Its like my special kitchen buddy! This thermometer is amazing! I love the fact that it’s digital and the numbers are easy to read. The temperature appears/changes quickly while adapting. I’ve had other thermometers that die after a couple of uses, this one has last us a long time and still works amazingly!

Nice clear display, seems very accurate, fairly easy to keep clean without damaging the electronics.

React quickly and seems to provide right temperature. Shut down when in rest and get back as soon as you move it, that's great! Really love it.
