I used this to hold 2 sets of tires from small sedans. Once set is barely 24" dia. The other approx. 26" dia. I wanted the large set on the bottom for stability. This required placing the upper tier at the max height in order to have enough room to insert the tires in the lower tier. In turn, the tires in the upper tier are at risk of toppling sideways over the ends. The width of the unit is a few inches too small. I squeezed in (4) 245-width tires and it barely fit. If you have any kind of performance-oriented tires, you are likely to get just 3 in a tier. Forget using this for any SUV or Truck application, you will only be able to use a single tier. This rack was a 'good' value compared to prices for similar items from tire stores but the fact that it isn't large enough for 8 modern wheels/tires kind of wrecks the utility.

Great deal on these tire racks.. my 20” tires fit on the bottom no problem
