Easy configuration and sleek design
Excellent switch and ive been using it for over a month now. Response time is extremely quick with the app and google home and like another reviewer said if your smart enough to configure scenes and automation you can use more of these as dumb remote switches to control the main one much like a pico remote. I have a 100 year old home and this comes in handy since wiring 3way wire in each room is nearly impossible and many of the 15x20' rooms only have one light switch which becomes aggravating... Ive also configured these to control nightlights when you turn them on or off. Possibilities are endless. Wiring them are fairly easy and some reviews state they cant wrap the wire around the screw, this is the incorrect way to wire these. The screws are set screws and ive found them to be fairly strong and i do recommend if you have solid wire in your home it may help to use the same awg stranded wire jumpers and wirenuts to the existing wire to alleviate strain on the switch and if your wire is too short. You can get 14 or 12 awg stranded wire in various colors from any hardware store by the foot. In regards to metal faceplates i couldnt find good reviews to sugest against them and ive found in my setup they work great with metal faceplates with a plastic box and my ubiquiti uap ac pro ap; of course mileage may vary and everyones setup and home is differnet. I have yet to add the additional sheilding of a metal box which some of my boxes are that i havent converted yet.

Had them for a year and no problems. Works great!
I've had them for over a year now and they have performed great. I haven't had any connection issues that sometimes come with other smart products. They look really nice and people notice them and ask questions. Install was fairly easy but not sure just anybody can do it but for someone with a little to some electric skills can do fairly easily. Come with nice labels for the wires so they can be labeled each and makes it easy if you ever needed to go back in. Paired with Alexa once and it has worked flawless ever since. I've had some smart product eventually disconnect or unpair and would have to go through the pairing process again but these have never had any problems with that. If WiFi goes out they always connect back after the WiFi comes back up. I recommend these for anyone who uses Alexa to make your home smarter and great for lazy people who have their light switch or fan switch on other side of the room!

It does what it needs to do
Much better than the product we had.

Lasted 7 years and then broke
I purchased this in Dec 2018 and I recall the install took a little over an hour but I figured it out. It's been working well all these years but today, 7 years later, the switch stopped working. I tried to reset it but it won't pair anymore. I use several other SMART home products and they all kind of glitch out within 1-2 years. So in terms of longevity, this one has lasted the longest. However, I still do wish it lasted longer because it's annoying to have to replace these things every so often.

Slowly but surely, failing one-by-one
These light switches started off pretty good. The app is user friendly enough and the timers set are reliable. They hooked up to Alexa without issue. However, after about a year, they started failing. The touch pad simply stops working and there is no life to the switch. I bought about 10-15 and approx. 6-7 have failed now. I did inquire re the warranty and customer service gave me Amazon credit to replace. But I’m really not interested in doing that over and over. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more at Home Depot/Lowe’s for better quality switches.

Great product to start building your smart home
This switch is easy to install, had no problem setting it up on an IPad. Logged in on my Google Account and had it functioning right away. It is installed in a new house and all neutral wiring is in switch box, it is operating under cabinet lights, switch was installed to far from cabinets and counter so this is a fix for that. When we go out at night we turn this light on before we get home to have light in the kitchen upon returning. We have 4 other third party vender smart controls in the house, this is the best of them. In the 70’s I started using X10 and we have almost replaced every unit brought from the old house.

great switches
I purchased these light switches as an affordable alternative to other name brands on the market that were 3 times the price! After receiving them, I called an electrician and had them installed by a reputable professional in my local area. I proceeded to navigate the the instructions to pair them with my wifi and after a couple of times, I had all the light switches paired and working great. Hopefully time will tell if they will last - I would say the only con of these lights is the housing itself is a little bigger than standard lights which is completely understandable, So if you will be installing multiple switches in a 2, 3, or 4 gang wall unit; you will have to space them accordingly in order for them to fit just right.

Smart House Everything!
I absolutely love this switch. I recently decided to upgrade my ceiling fans in my home to have remotes on the fence and I wanted to ease and comfort of being able to voice activate the lights on the ceiling fans, so I decided to go with this new particular switch. The installation instructions were flawless and very easy and simple to install. Outside of the regular screwing and unscrewing the face plate it took me about 5 minutes to install and connect to both SmartLife app and my Alexa. I plan to install the switch through my home!

Once installed
I installed these in the fall on 2018 now it’s the fall of 2020. Going by memory the instructions were poorly written if you fallow them you made a short circuit and if you install them in an old house tape up the screws cause they may touch the box and short out. Have three for outside light two work great. Now the third one is a pain it keep going off line. The only way to install it again on the network is to uninstall then reinstall and the last time it won’t connect and it is only about 50 feet away from router. So in most cases I would say they work petty good. I also had a problem with one other dropping off now both of these switches are in the garage and this one only had this problem once in the winter of 2019 since then it’s work perfect. Now to be fair on this review the one switch that will not connect it has some tools close to it as it is mounted behind a shelf so the back and forward between the switch and router could be interrupted by the metal in the tools. But the switch does have a clear site as the wooden shelf has no back where the switch is. So in the most part I would recommend these for a newer home as the boxes are a little bigger but they do work in older one just tape the screws. So I hope this is helpful. Now Oct 31/21 and the temp drop to around 0 c 32f and the switch for the patio stop working again [switch was located in the garage with temp turned down but they still should work]. I just replaced it with the one I took out. Two out of four work some what I will be replacing them.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE SWITCHES. BUT TO BE FAIR THEY WERE FIRST GENERATION SWITCHES MAYBE THE NEW ONES WORK BETTER THAN THE OLDER ONE.

Does what it's suppose to but fits too tight in the box.
The connectors are all at one end of the switch. The two that had 14 gauge common wires (black wires) touched the metal box and caused a short. I dremeled the heads of the screws and put tape around the outer edge to insulate the screws from the box. The connectors on the switch don't seem to be made for 14 gauge wire. They make the screw heads stand out too far. It would also be nice if it had a dimmer feature. Otherwise it works well.

Great looking device... Works extremely well.
It's only been a day in the house and i'm loving the switch. I opted to go for Tasmota… Really easy to install and get configured. To reduce the potential of a short I wrapped the terminals in Electrical tape.... but that was the only concern I had. EDIT: Two months later and I'm still super impressed... having no problems. I've now got 10 of these installed. Great purchase.
