Harvey 017065 Gas Line PTFE Thread Seal Tape

I wrapped the connection of my Weber Q1200's regulator to the gas line hose coupler with this tape. It worked as expected. Thick enough, but not too thick. Easy to find the end and tear off. Wrapping the threads twice created a gas line seal when the two ends were put together. Without the tape - it leaked. I'm happy with the quality of this tape and it performed as expected. I would buy it again if needed.

If you like me, need to install a new gas dryer, this is the thread tape you want. It prevents leakage, works with all gas appliances, is durable, lasting until you have to remove and reinstall your gas line, and is a great value.

What I received was an empty outer shell with no tape. Thankfully Amazon replaced the item. Hoping this one comes with the actual tape inside. UPDATE: I received the replacement that included the actual tape. Worked great so changed from 1 star to 4.

Replaced my entire boats fuel system. I’ve always used sealant on threaded fittings. My son said he always uses this product instead of sealant and has never had a problem! It’s definitely easier to use, and most important I have no leaks! I do recommend starting a thread or two back from the end of any fitting.

Brought this with a 20gal tank and a lantern pole. Forgot my crescent wrench so it was barely more than finger tight, but it didn't leak because of the tape.
