Best acoustic strings for me
I really like the sound and the feel of the round core. Big fan of DR Strings in general. I tried these in place of my regular acoustic strings which are DR Sunbeams. The Spectrums have a really nice sound. The most striking improvement is the enhanced presence of fundamental frequencies. This translates to notes with incredible definition and punch, particularly on my Bourgeois OM's lower register. Gone are the muddy lows – every bass note rings out true and clear, even with complex fingerpicking patterns. This is my first set, so the question really is...how long will they last? If they die quick, I may just go back to the Sunbeams and change more often. The Spectrums are expensive. A few weeks in, they still sound good. They seem worth it so far!

Nice clean tone
Great on a acoustic/electric guitar.

Not for my Taylor 414
These are guitar strings. Just not THE strings for me. My wife has TI strings on her bass and they are amazing but these, on my Taylor 414 sound metallic and they were not comfortable to play. I gave 4 stars because they are obviously well made but not to my taste.

Best strings I have used
I have a rosewood Larrive guitar - which I love - but it’s finicky about the strings I use. I tried a few brands and had issues with the strings staying in tune, or with the sound. The Thomastic strings have a beautiful depth, are easy to play, stay in tune, and last a long time. I don’t use anything else these days.

World class strings for a world class price
Expensive, but they’re the nicest sounding acoustic strings I’ve ever used. Worth. They’re sort of mellow, but in a way that you can hear the guitar wood’s nuances. Makes your guitar sound more like a fine vintage instrument than a boomy strummer. So if you like volume and punch, look elsewhere. If you like to fingerpick or cross pick, these are for you.

Defective. Very expensive items that would not even come into tune
I'm 68. I have been playing since I was 12. I know how to change strings! "D' string broke far short of being in tune. Really, at 4X the price of normal strings? Then, I'm sent to Europe to handle this issue with customer service! Come on, Amazon, send me a new one. I don't want to return a damn broken guitar string for a new one. I finally heard back from customer service after contacting them again. I was told that: 1. It can take them 1-2 weeks to respond to customer issues. (I had sent the inquiry over a week ago and they were responding to my SECOND request. 2. They offered nothing, except to tell me that I would just have to wait for them, ..."many of our employees travel a lot..." Frankly, I don't know what that has to do with it. I used to travel a lot when I worked full time and part of my job was responding to customers in a timely manner.) these are expensive strings and this is the second time I've had issues with TI and been given a pretty aloof answer that basically said, "we're gonna do things our way, just hold on and we'll get to you when we're good and ready." Good strings, but never again, TI.

Have used Thomastik strings for years, definitely the best available, just great to get them at a reasonable price for a change.

I’ve tried almost every imaginable accoustic guitar strings in over 50 years and this is still simply the best for me. They’ll sound clear and crisp for ever. From finger picking to heavier strumming.

Perfectas para dar más brillo y sonoridad a la guitarra. Quizá me habría gustado más comprar un número menor por aquello de que no fuesen tan gruesas. Pero aún así, no se sienten muy duras al pisar.

Quality strings, they make my Dowina acoustic sound far better than the strings fitted from new. Deep bass noticable mids and bright highs.
