A Great Help At a Good Price For Seniors and Handicapped
UPDATE 2/7/2020: My rating of this tool (the Extra Long 32”), is still 5 stars. However, I thought it appropriate to post a warning, which I’ll call a “Duhh?”Moment. I’m a pretty common sense type of a guy, and it’s saved me from a lot of stupid moves over the years, as any moron would know better. Accordingly, I label myself the moron. And I did know better but did it anyway. Did what? I broke this dandy little teacher grabber. I’ve come to the incredible conclusion that this tool is not a cane - and if you try to use it as one, it will likely break. While it’s an essential device to those like me, who have a physical condition or handicap that limits their ability to bend and/or reach, this reacher-grabber is very, very handy to have around. But, remember that it is made to be light. So, it’s made out of plastic! And it will break if you use it as a cane and push yourself up with it! Duhh! Now I have to buy another one. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the third one of these I have purchased. None have worn out or broken but we have a big two story house and it is much easier on me to have one handy. They are great for “grabbing” most things, unless they are large or heavy. They enable me to do things for myself and hold on to as much of a normal life as I can for as long as I can. I’m a 72 year old Type 1 diabetic (with extensive nerve and tissue damage in my legs and feet due to the complications of diabetes) and more and more nerve damage in my hands. This makes it hard to walk and balance, causing falls that have further damaged my knees. The slowly increasing nerve damage in my hands means I frequently drop things. Thus, bending over to pick up what I have dropped results in difficulty retrieving anything, especially small items. It also makes it even more likely that I will lose my balance and fall again. I also have osteoarthritis that makes it painful to bend or stand on my tiptoes when reaching up to get or put items on a shelf. It’s a simple design but very, very helpful at a reasonable price.

They do a great job picking things up. Best grabber I ever had.
These are the best grabbers I’ve ever had. They also do a great job picking up sticks in the yard. I highly recommend them.

“Sturdy so far, bought for safety”
“I use a pickup stick because of a bad hip, and I’ve had a couple break when I had to use them to keep from falling. This one just arrived but looks well built and sturdy enough to save my head without breaking—adding a small magnet for picking up coins would be a nice touch.” only 4 stars if save my head and hold ill be back give it 5 star

Low Quality
Within the first two weeks, I’ve had it. The pen has fell out of the handle and been lost on both of the grabber so now I have two grabbers that cannot be used

works well
I got this at my sister's suggestion, prior to having cataract surgery. After surgery you are not to bend at the waist for about a week. The first thing I did when I got home after surgery was drop a capsule on the floor. This did the job and picked it up!. I had considered getting a grabber with a longer reach, but realized that it might then be difficult to take the object out of the grabber. I am a 5'4" woman and this length was spot on for me. I have not tried to pick up much that is heavy, so not sure how that would work, but for cat dishes and dropped items, this was perfect.

Grabber 32": Well made, sturdy, grips really well, Highly Recommend
Vive Reacher Grabber 32" - Extra Long Mobility Aid - Rotating Hand, Heavy Duty Grip Arm This is not the first time we have ordered this exact gripper. We have ordered this for our parents, sisters, brothers and have recommended it to anyone that sees ours and asks where we have gotten it. I think the first one we had lasted at least three years - and I have to say that my husband uses it for everything outside. Picking up sticks and stones in the yard to reaching for items that are on the high shelves in the garage. I use mine in the house for moving items on the top book shelves to playing with the cat. If you have small plants or need to move decorations off of the door frames or molding, this works great. There are so many uses for this grabber/gripper that I could write pages about it, but I think you probably get the idea. We both really love this particular grabber and will continue to replace it with the same one as long as it is available. We also highly recommend it to our family and friends.
