Exactly what you would expect, as advertised. For the price a great value.
Like this product and have used for many years for filling gaps or imperfections on furniture applications. Dries very hard and is stainable and sandable. The only problem is it drys out in the can. Use an combination of lacquer thinner or acetone to keep it applicable.

Quick drying, work fast!
A little smelly but my new go-to wood filler, dries quick, can sand in as little as an hour. No cracking after dried and sanded.

This was a project saver!
I received this free dresser, but it was damaged. I wasn’t sure how to fix it at first, then I saw this item on Amazon. It was perfect for this project. I knew I wanted a walnut or espresso stain for the final result so opted for the walnut wood filler. I needed to fill in the cracks in the wood, so used the wood filler and also combined it will some sawdust so that it would take the stain better. Once the wood filler/sawdust combo was dry, I applied the wood stain. Once that was dry, I sanded it, to smooth out the surface. Then, I used polyurethane as a top coat. It’s not perfect, but this was my first time using wood filler and then staining wood. I love the finished dresser, though. If I had to do it again, I would do a “second coat” of the wood filler to fill in the gaps even better, before staining. I highly recommend this wood filler, it did a great job to assist in completing my project.

Did the right job
I ordered it to cover a hole in my door. It works well, little smell but dries quickly.

Not useable after one use
This Dap plastic wood filler is worthless if not used all up the first opening. I have use this before and mistaken ling ordered it this time. It works OK the first opening but will not stay useable more than a week or so after it has once been opened. IT IS TRASH, I am a VERY EXPERIENCED long time wood worker and this can will NOT seal after opening.

Beware 4oz can. Not 8oz can
This is overpriced for only 4 oz. Better off getting 8oz. Can. The product itself is great. I repaired a rotted corner of a house facia board. Looks great after 2 yrs. I bought this again for another repair.
