This is a lovely product for my sons hair, with it being very coarse and dry, this give it the shine and smooth texture keeping his hair in place and looking healthy, last for months as only a little amount needed, so good value for money.

I’ve tried loads of edge control products over the years, but Shine ’n Jam Extra Hold is one of the few that actually does what it says. It gives my hair a sleek finish without going hard or crunchy, and most importantly, no white flakes later in the day. It’s perfect for braids, slick-back styles, or laying edges. I’ve used it on both my hair and my daughters’, and it works beautifully on different textures. A little goes a long way, and the tub lasts ages. Smells nice too, not overpowering, just clean and fresh. If you’re looking for reliable hold without the stiffness, this is a must-have.

I love this product, it holds the edges very firmly, the bigger size is more economical.

I use this product for braids and it works for me. I like the texture.

As a braider, I wouldn't recommend this gel unless the hair you are dealing with isn't afro hair but more 2c - 3b hair as it is slightly slippery. It is still good quality but it could be slightly cheaper for the size that its is. There is no colour transfer when use and it comes out clear. I wouldn't recommend using it on wet hair as it can leave residue.

I use this to braid my husbands hair and it is great for his 4c hair. Very moisturizing and lasts long. The consistency is easy to work with and thick and the hold is great. Love this gel. Also good for edge control. Spreads easily.
