LOVE this chili powder. Great value for amount/cost. Flavor is strong and fragrant. I do wish it was a finer grind but that's a personal preference so I can't drop any stars for that alone.

First time trying ancho chile powder so have nothing to compare it too. But it is a really nice flavorful powder.

I use ancho chili powder in any savory dish like oatmeal, egg salad, IP white beans, even chocolate pudding. It adds flavor more than heat. This isn't a huge amount, it's packed to stay fresh and more economical than the glass jars. Sometimes I'll combine it 50/50 in a recipe calling for regular chili powder but have also mixed it with cloves, cinnamon or or even a little oregano, it's good in macaroni salad or potato salad. Sprinkle a little on a few bites to test it on something before using on a whole batch or put it on the table to add as you eat. It's also good on popcorn. Do it on the stove top using 1-2 t of olive oil and 2-3 T of popcorn and add the ancho after it's in the bowl, by cooking in olive oil and seasoning with ancho, it doesn't need butter.

The Spice Way Ancho Chili Powder is wonderful! I opened the package and it has a delicious & fresh smokey scent. We used it to make Pozole & our own Santa Maria BBQ seasoning rub and they both were phenomenal! Still have a good amount left in the bag & we are looking forward to whipping up more yummy recipes with this spice. I would definitely recommend it & would purchase again when we run out.
