Can the rotating stirrer be removed for cleaning?** A: Yes it came with a 3 pin plug. The stirrer can't be taken off but doesn't really matter as its extremely easy to clean. **Q: Can you use without butter or oil?** A: You can use it without flavouring like butter, syrup, sugar, salt, spices or seasoning. But we recommend a little bit (30ml) of oil on the plate to prevent the corn to stick and burn. You can choose which oil though: sunflower oil, olive oil, etc. **Q: Can you add salt or sugar if so do you just put it in with the oil? And can you add any other popcorn flavourings ive seen sold on amazon?** A: I don't use oil. I just do the popcorn and add a little salt after they popped. On first use you have to discard the first batch you make due to first time use otherwise it tastes a bit strange after that it’s perfect. I have bought popcorn flavours such as sweet caramel salted caramel and tried melted butter and it comes out as good as theatre popcorn. So pleased I found this product highly recommend and at such a good price too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes the best popcorn ever, some components not great quality however *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 December 2025* This makes incredible popcorn. Something about the combination of stirring the kernels whilst they are getting hot, being able to put salt (or I presume sugar) in with them, and adding butter to the lid so it drips through gradually all comes together to make popcorn that is a perfect combination of fluffy and crisp.It's easy to clean also, and fully non stick.The not so good:There's a cap you're supposed to be able to put on the lid once the popcorn is ready so you turn the lid upside down - into a bowl - and use it for eating without (presumably) butter/oil/bits coming through the holes for butter application whilst cooking. Mine simply failed at that task entirely. Like it won't attach and stay on. It's a hard type of plastic and doesn't even fit properly.Also, the clear plastic bowl is really brittle.
