No. Just turn the power down to match the output you want to achieve or connect a base control

How is the non ported one 400w rms and the ported ones 1000w rms is it the same speakers?

I spoke directly with MXT regarding this question. The woofer in the 400w sealed enclosure is a different woofer than the woofer that is in the 1000w ported enclosure.

Are these speakers loud? I currenty have 2 kicker R dual voice coil subs and a old school 1,200 watt amp.now add these speakers with a 500 mono block

Yes they hit hard and very loud

What amp settings should i run? such as gain eq settings and such. i have a 1500watt rms skar amp

I have mine on one quarter but usually can set by ear if it sounds like cracking turn it down
