Hi Sandra,
The pieces of our drapery pull rod are manufactured in China and assembled here in the USA. We have tried to source the materials in the USA as well as other countries, but no one can manufacture them without causing the price to DOUBLE, even with the imposed tariffs. To be fair, the tariffs added an additional $2 per unit to MY COMPANY'S COST, but we have NOT passed that along to our customers. Either way, AMERICANS are paying the tariff.

Will this work for a top down bottom up cellular blind? Also does anyone know the width of the ends of the black plastic caps?  I need 3/8" or smaller

I'm not sure what a "top down bottom up cellular blind"is but it works great on a regular drapes on a rod. The plastic caps are approximately 1/4 of an inch, they may be slightly smaller.

Can this hook onto a 1inch rod?

Hi there!
Yes, this hooks over a 1" curtain rod. It's our experience that most people don't hook it over the rod to open and close drapes, they use it under the rod as shown in the video on this page.

I just installed blackout curtains for my bedroom. I'm wondering if I need this?

Our drapery pull rod is designed to open and close your drapes without having to use your hands, thus keeping your drapes clean. Since it’s adjustable, you can use it for extra tall drapes (or if you’re on the shorter side)  and also use it to reach over furniture. It works best on grommet curtains or curtain rings, really any drapery style designed to be opened and closed. It does not work with rod pocket curtains, as they are not designed to be opened and closed, but for decoration. I hope this helps.
