Fantastic trash can so far. It's the right size to fit next to my cabinet. It does hit the counter that overhangs a but when it opens but I can press the foot pedal slowly so it doesn't bang. I will probably put a little something there to stop it from hitting. The size of the cans are perfect for me, a single person, to have 1 garbage and 1 recycle. The white matches my other white appliances and looks nice and sleek. So far it seems easy to put in a new bag or take out the bins to clean them. Would definitely recommend.

I waited over a year before reviewing these garbage cans because I have had nothing but bad luck with others for years, and wanted to give the most accurate review of this product. I am very pleased to say that this garbage can did more than just pass the initial "smell test!" Our family has been through many garbage cans through the years...the lid and step mechanism fails, swing or snap lids use valuable interior space and require touching, the can cracks or the finish scratches or dulls, depending upon what it's made of, and the size and shape rarely fits the limited kitchen space we have and is either too big and clunky or too small. The last one impeded into some of our walking space, and we didn't want to saw out any of our under-the-counter cabinet space to slip in the cans. The ones too narrow are a pain to pull bags from, inevitably leading to garbage on the floor. And I'll add that decent lids are important if you have young children toddling around and exploring, or pets rummaging for food, and they look more attractive and reduce odors - when they work. The size and design of this one alleviated all of these problems simultaneously, and the price was reasonable. I realize that this is a lot to say about a garbage can, but we use it constantly in our daily lives and have to look at it all the time. It can make or break the appearance and space in a kitchen, and a poorly built one can easily throw anyone into a bad mood. That said, this can is topple-proof. It's solidly built of stainless steel, yet not too heavy to move. The lid at first appears chintzy because it is black plastic, not stainless steel like the rest of the can, but I see now that it was part of the clever design. The plastic is sufficient and it doesn't reduce from the overall look, but it makes the lid lighter, reducing the strain and weight on the mechanism in the lid so that it moves freer and quicker, and it reduces the likelihood that the mechanism will snap and fail like others I've had The stainless steel on this can is of unusually good quality. It retains its original shine, has a smooth finish that is easy to wipe if there is a spill, and it remains dent- and scrstch-free. The can literally looks like it did when we first removed it from the box. The size and shape was perfect, plus two cans in one. We measured the space beforehand and compared. We needed the space of two cans for a very narrow space - one for garbage, and one for recycling. This was always a big problem, but no more! The cans fit squarely against the end of our cabinets without a gap, left sufficient room for the lids to open freely, and left open space to walk by them. This was a first. Each of the two sections in the can has a dark, solid, hard plastic liner, each with a strong stainless steel handle to lift them out separately. At first the handles seemed to be unnecessary and in the way, as we thought we'd just lift the bag, but we soon found the design to be a smart one. The handles on the inserts allowed us to lift the inserts out and to safely transport overly-full garbage bags to the outdoor cans while eliminating the risk of spillage. At the same time, it allowed us the benefit of the extra space due to more narrow cans. The cans hold the regular 13-gallon sized tall kitchen bags, by the way. The inserts also keep the interior of the cans very clean and the smooth inserts, themselves, don't require regular cleaning, save a defective bag or seepage from liquids poured into the trash, perhaps. The exterior of the can rarely needs cleaning or polishing to maintain its original good appearance - an occasional wipe will do. It is truly fingerprint-free as the manufacturers state. When I initially had a few questions about the can and contacted the manufacturer, I received an immediate, friendly response from one of their team members who demonstrated a willingness to accommodate me should any questions or issues arise then or later. I could tell that this company takes pride in their product and takes customer satisfaction very seriously. The company doesn't just sell cans, they are the actual manufacturers of them and say that they have actually modified their product multiple times in keeping with ideas of customers for improving their garbage cans! The cans are their craft, and they invite suggestions by their consumers in order to please. They stated that they stand behind their cans 100%, always, and will do what's needed to maintain trust. I was very impressed. Stainless steel garbage cans of this quality aren't small pocket change, running $100 to $200 a pop! This can was very reasonably priced. Great trash can. Does the job. Sleek design and easy functionality. Now, is it worth the $100 I paid for it…ehh. Lol. It could definitely be less expensive, but again, it’s nice and works well for now.

I have been using this trash can for over a month now and overall I do like it. It's a great way to separate your trash and recycles into different containers without having multiple containers in your house. I ordered stickers to label each side as "Trash" or "Recycle" for guests that come over. The trash can has solid metal construction and is a bit heavy. It came packaged very well and undamaged. It was fully assembled with the exception of the pedals that you step on to open it. All I needed was a screw driver and I had it assembled in about 5 minutes. It then took me another 5 minutes to figure out whey they lids wouldn't shut all the way. When it arrives you have to remove both bins from the trash can and remove Styrofoam packing that is placed in the very bottom of the unit to protect it during shipping. Once I did this everything worked great. The first thing I noticed is that the trash bags I'd been using were now way too big. I have a Costco size pack of Tall Kitchen Trash Bag Liners that hold 13 gallons. Each bin on this is actually closer to 8 or 9 gallons I think. There was quite a big of bag left over after I stuffed it down into the empty can. I tried to tuck it around the outside of the outer bin but inside the main bin. This left quite a bit of bag bunched up in the slot where the lid is supposed to rest. I finally had to twist the bag tight on one side and king of tuck the lump of extra back in the middle of one of the sides as there is a slightly recessed section on all 4 sides of the inner bins. I also discovered you have to place the handles on the inner bins forward when you place them back into the outer bin. Not a huge deal once I figured this out. Since both the inner bins are smaller than a regular kitchen trash can you will find yourself taking the trash out more frequently than you used to. I used to take it out once a week, now it's usually 2x a week but sometimes still once. I do have to take recycles out 2-3 times a week. This is significantly better than the daily trips I used to make when I didn't have a separate can so I call it a win. When you empty the bins the handles on the inner bins are a total pain in the rear. You have to grab the handle and keep it out of the way or it catches the liner and tries to knock the can over. It just occurred to me writing this review that I should simply remove those pesky handles on the inner bins! All in all this is a good trash can. It was expensive but then they all were! It solves the issue of taking out the recycles and keeps them organized. I'd recommend it despite some of the issues I pointed out. Once you learn how to work around them it's good. I think you'd have these issues with any of this style of dual trash can. Pros: Keeps trash and recycles separate and organized Nice looking Solid and heavy Eliminates the need for more than one receptacle in the house Fits perfectly against the end of standard depth and height base kitchen cabinets Cons: The handles are not all that helpful and would likely do better to simply be removed if you use a liner. Hold less trash than a standard kitchen size can Standard kitchen bags are too big and hard to stuff into the can so the lids close correctly

Beautiful, wonderful, functional, addition to kitchen. Closes to seal in garbage odors. Awkward, trying to position trash bags correctly. Pricey, but I deserve it!

I love this trashcan combo. It helps keep things tidy and the recycling side helps you stock up on recycle before you take it out. Each bin has a handle so you can carry it to your trash bin. The bins are a little small but it works great still!

Bought this back in April 2025. I like to review items after using for awhile and I have to say I am very pleased with this. I read some reviews that made me kind of shy away from it but ended up getting it because it fits perfectly at the end of my kitchen island. I like the fact that you just use your foot to open it. I do have to buy the 8 gallon trash bags and I do through Amazon. My husband and I don’t generate a lot of garbage 1 bag a week plus we recycle. The bins are easy to take out and put back in which is nice for the recyclables, I just take the bin right to the recycle bin outside and dump it. I do recommend this if you like a smaller bin and side by side recyclables and trash.

It's surprising how much difference the larger size made. Especially for recycling items. Well made, looks good. Removable internal compartments with soft close. Good value too. Important to check carefully for dents on unpacking. Mine was slightly dented in transit and a perfect replacement was shipped even before I had returned the dented one. Great service. Very pleased with my purchase!

Amazing garbage and recycling! If you want 2 garbage or one of each this one is perfect. It has a great seal and feels well built. It fits perfect in the spot I had for it. The garbage bags that come with it aren’t the best as they rip fast and easy, so do yourself a favor and get some stronger white ones from your grocery store. White looks so nice!!

esteticamente molto molto bello. acciaio non troppo lucido o riflettente, abbastanza scuro (non come da immagine, meglio guardate video o foto reali dedicate). possibilita' di abbinarlo nello stesso ambiente alla sua versione a 3 scomparti da 18l, per avere le 5 unità necessarie alla raccolta differenziata completa (in realtà quello a 3 scomparti è alto 55cm mentre questo è 65cm, esiste anche una versione di questo a 2 scomparti da 55 cm altezza...). io ho spazio in cucina e li ho presi entrambi. tenuti a vista sono davvero belli, quasi un elemento di arredo. i difetti? l'apertura è leggerissima. quando premi il pedale, il coperchio "parte" alla velocità della luce...e se hai sistemato il bidone attaccato ad un parete ad un mobile, il coperchio ci sbatte con forza. questo per me è un bel difetto, dico la verità, ma non esiste un'alternativa di questo tipo differente. si deve andare ad oggetti diversi, tipo quelli con coperchio unico e scomparti interni, che hanno apertura più controllata. quindi dipende tutto da cio che si vuole. estetica? funzionalità? io ho scelto l'estetica, anche perchè mi rimangono a vista, quindi avere l'accoppiamento con quello a 3 scomparti per noi era un plus. ho un pochino migliorato il controllo in apertura, inserendo delle parti spugnose (spugna quella gialla) nei fori che si trovano gia sotto i pedali e sono accessibili. niente di particolare, niente di complicato. in questo modo quando si preme il pedale, l'elemento spugnoso, inserito sotto, fa un pò di resistenza e la pressione del pedale è più controllata, quindi il coperchio si apre con meno forza. risolto il problema? non al 100%, ma in modo accettabile. qui su amazon ma anche in giro, i bidoni di questo tipo sono tutti uguali. quindi anche cambiando marca questo problema rimane. per questa tipologia.

Llegó perfectamente empacado en una caja grande y unicel para evitar golpes al producto. Se ve sólido y muy estético. El tamaño de los recipientes se ve adecuado para un departamento de 2-3 personas. Debo decir que no es pequeño, así que es conveniente medir el espacio antes de comprarlo. Habrá que esperar a ver cuánto duran las partes de plástico, ya que he visto muchas opiniones mencionado los fácil que se rompen las tapas. Es cierto lo que dicen: se abre muy bruscamente al pisar el pedal, así que hay que tener cuidado o buscar alguna solución de bricolaje para resolverlo.
