What does it taste like?

There’s a chemical taste. Burned my tongue. Couldn’t eat the rest of the evening. And the morning after. It was textured which would have been nice except my tongue got super hot and heavy while chewing it . Try the one in the pink and white packaging. Much better. No chemical taste.

What ingredients where used to make this chalk?

Ingredients: Magnesium Carbonate, Ethyl Alcohol Solvent, and Rosin. Important question honestly, because unfortunately, it's not "CHALK", it's not that simple and chalk isn't naturally liquid. People who respond to important questions in a smart-aleck way are literally causing the decline in our basic industry standards.

how many lifts will this last me?

A box of eight identical blocks from a different manufacturer has lasted me nearly three years. I use it only when I deadlift heavy (without straps, hook grip, around 475 lbs now; started using it at around 275), which was twice a week for approximately the first 15 months I used the chalk, and then once a week since. For the past six months I've also used it for trap bar Farmer's carries of ~ 425 pounds once or twice a week. I'm beginning to use it once a week for heavy presses. Your mileage will vary, obviously, based on which lifts you use it for. I keep it crumbled in a Ziploc bag so it's not open in a bowl or otherwise exposed to humidity. Bottom line is that eight blocks of this stuff will last you a long while if you lift.

This chalk block does exactly what you expect it to do. Improves grip drastically and helps max out your reps. I’m a beginner calisthenics athlete and got told to buy chalk from my trainer. All I can say is that this made the difference between getting 8 reps in versus getting 12 reps in.
