Surfer Dudes Classics Wave Powered Mini-Surfer and Surfboard Toy - J-Bay Jack

Our kids saw one of these at the beach a few years ago and were fascinated by it, so I finally remembered to buy one before our most recent beach trip. All three of our kids (ages 5, 8, and 11) took turns playing with it throughout the day. It kept them entertained on and off between swimming and other beach activities. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to throwing it just right so that it rides the waves and comes back to you. Once you figure out the angle and timing, though, it really does surf back toward you, which is pretty cool to watch. **What we liked:** * Fun and active beach activity * Works well for a range of ages * Unique toy that keeps kids engaged * Very satisfying once you learn the throw technique **Overall:** A really fun beach toy that gets kids moving and experimenting with how to throw it. Once you get the hang of it, watching it surf back toward you never gets old. Great addition to beach days.

Best beach toy ever!! No matter how u throw him. He's coming back. Its like the boomerang of the ocean. We saw a kid with one a few summers ago and had to get one. Ingenious design! A tone of fun for thw family.

This is one of my daughter’s favorite toys for the ocean. Throw it in the water and it rides the waves back to you. We purchased the 1st one a couple years and just got another for her friend.

Easy to use , well made, and highly entertaining.

This Surfing toy was easy to assemble based on the directions it provided. We chose surfing Olivia and she is fun to have at the beach. It kept my daughters of ages 6 and 8 entertained, but I’m sure it would be entertaining for all ages. We discovered that if you throw it into a crashing wave, it comes back nicely. However, if you don’t throw it where a crashing waves is, then it has a hard time or slower time coming back to shore.

Adults and kids alike love this toy when we are at the beach! It works just as advertised. Sometimes it takes a bit for it to catch a wave back but it always does come, and I think the waiting is part of the fun. It's held up well over several beach trips. Despite its expense I've bought a replacement when we lost the first one so I think that's probably the most positive review I can give!
